Wonderful hostal..

Stayed in a private room with private shower. Looked all new. Very clean and spacious room. Very nice bathroom as well. Reception very helpful and assisted us with phone calls for our follow on hostal as well as assistance with other phone calls. Highly recommended.

Bad experience

Incomplete and bad. Stayed 1 night only, and less bad. The only highlight of the site is its air conditioning (we were lucky because there is only 1 in the whole hostel). We book a 5-bed dormitory, you start to realize how little the place is worth when you are given a sheet of the same fabric to protect you from lice when you are given to try or temporarily wear a helmet. Just dragging it out a little bit breaks down and just so we don't get the bed dirty, it's not even a sheet.
It's time to go to the shower, and you get alarmed again when they tell you they don't have a towel to leave you. When accessing the bathroom the water is not adjustable, it is a mono control of gym (click and after 10 seconds stops), it is the maximum cuteness.
People in charge of the hostel when you ask if they have normal sheets or towels (at least) tell you that is practically a luxury.
Given all this we highlight the price. 20€ per person, at first we did not find it at all expensive but with all these drawbacks we find it even expensive. For the same price you have a boarding house with double bed in Sarria.
In 5 hostels of the Camino de Santiago without doubt, the worst. I wouldn't come back.

Not in the centre but a good hostel

This hostel is not in the centre but well worth the detour of under 1km. It has a few large rooms with bunk beds and 3 apartments. We stayed in the 4 bed apartment which had its own bathroom and came with bedding and towels for 65 euros which is quite reasonable if a bunk bed would set you back 11 or 12 or 13 euros each. The staff are friendly. Cooling facilities are limited to a microwave. Garden with chairs and tables in the back. Would come back.

Camino stop

Stayed there last month and myself and another pilgrim were the only 2 there. It was spotless and the hospitalera was wonderful. Beautiful outdoor space, covered porch in case of rain and indoor relaxation area w/tv! Would highly recommend for anyone walking the Camino Frances!

It's a treasure!

It's a treaaure. Really a breath of fresh air in 'albergue land'. Very clean and open with a lot of light. The women (I think the Owner) is lovely and so warm-hearted. Sitting on the outside balcony I really felt myself blessed findig this beautiful place on my camino to Santiago!
