Perfect stay

After a long day hiking the Camino Alicia’s place was a welcome sight. Clean, cozy, comfortable. The perfect place to relax and unwind. The apartments have kitchenette’s so make sure to grab some groceries in town.
Alicia was a wonderful host. Would happily stay again.

Good if you are on a self catering holiday

We were booked here as part of a package on the Camino walk. This included half board (breakfast & dinner). Alicia, was very helpful, though communication was difficult as she spoke little English. She tried her best to help us in things like laundry and breakfast. The room furnishing is rather old. One of our party had a bathroom where the shower squirted in all directions, wetting everything. Dinner turned out to be “takeaway” food. Not very tasty. This accommodation is more suited for self catering rather than as half-board stay.

A wonderful rustic retreat

We stayed at Casa Teillor for three nights in June 2017 as part of a Galician road trip. This is a complex consisting of a number of converted farm buildings; ours was an apartment for two people,although there are also properties for four or six guests. The proprietress, Alicia, is a most charming, feisty and accommodating lady whose desire to make your stay comfortable knows no bounds!
The advantages of renting an apartment revolve around the extra freedom that can be enjoyed over the traditional hotel situation. There is a Gadis supermarket only five minutes away by car as well as a variety of shops in Melide that will provide everyday needs and provisions.
The setting is tranquil with lovely rural views. The apartment itself was well equipped with cooker, microwave and fridge, and the bathroom was clean, modern and spacious. The location of Melide is convenient for visiting Santiago, Lugo and the western coast where beautiful unspoilt beaches can readily be found.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend Casa Teillor unreservedly as a place to experience rural Spain.

Charming 3 Bedroom House in a lovely rural setting

Our unit was one of several within the property. Stone built and well maintained it provided a relaxing respite during our Camino. After a fairly harrowing 10 minute taxi ride from town we were greeted by Alyssia who took good care of us thankfully providing us with a two hour laundry service which was a lifesaver. Having stocked up with some provisions before leaving town all we needed was a pizza delivery and a wood fire to restore our strength before walking on.

Una buena estancia, las casas son normales pero por dentro están muy bien, en la casa que nosotros estuvimos teníamos baño individual en cada habitación, incluso hay un sitio fuera de la casa con barbacoa.
