A pearl

Great place. A lot of charm. Very clean. Very warm Welcoming. The terrace is very nice. The restaurant is certainly an added value. The kitchen is very good.

Cozy place, cod with a rotten smell

Nice place.
Good food except the cod snout which smelled VERY BAD and although they offered to change the dish they treated us like ignorant people saying it was the authentic smell of desalted cod.
Dessert (tarte tatin) good.
Service could be improved.

A lovely place to discover the Cerdanya

A real authentic hotel/restaurant in a very small mountain village with nice rooms, excellent food and a nice family style service. A place far away from everything but in the middle of the nature. It is the combination of all those things that makes it an excellent choice if you want to plan a discovery of the Cerdanya.

Fabulous lunch - we will be back!

We stopped for lunch here after meeting the chef to plan a birthday celebration. What a fantastic lunch!
Well, for starters, the cheesy amuse bouche was tremendous...
The grilled vegetables were intense, crunchy in the right places and very tasty. The home made foie gras was just superb, and we’ve tasted quite a few...
The pig’s feet were crunchy, sticky, absolutely top notch. And the lamb jarret was cooked to perfection, with an intense jus.
We rounded this off with a shared chocolate confection which was both milk and dairy free.
What a fab place! We have made the right decision for next month’s celebration!

Amazing stay!

My husband and I just completed a hiking holiday through the Pyrenees. One of our favourite places to stay was at Can Borrell. We thoroughly enjoyed the rustic nature of the hotel and its warm and welcoming atmosphere. In addition, Laura and Oliver were superb hosts - friendly and accommodating with local knowledge and good hiking tips. We had exquisite meals each night and delicious local wine. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We felt so at home and are already planning our next stay there. Being a family run business, you could feel the effort that went into making each guest feel at personally welcome. The location was amazing too. Overall, a five star choice!
