A short stay, but a great experience.
The location is fantastic: it is very central, in a quiet and safe area, and practically everything can be done on foot. We left the car in the hotel parking lot for 15 €, which we thought was great: large spaces, easy to maneuver in, and very safe. Once we left the car there, we didn't need it again. In a few minutes' walk you have the main places of interest in Mérida, restaurants, bars, and areas for walking.
The room was very clean, quiet, and well-equipped. We were traveling as three people and we had three spacious and comfortable beds, with very pleasant pillows. It also had air conditioning, a television, and a bathroom with everything necessary for the shower and a hair dryer. It was extremely hot outside, but the room was wonderful and we were able to rest very well.
We also had the opportunity to eat at the Gastrobar Mirador del Guadiana, which is just a couple of minutes' walk from the hotel. We liked it a lot: everything was very delicious and they gave us great advice when it came to choosing.
But if there is one thing I want to highlight especially, it is the attention from José Luis and Alicia. They were charming, approachable, and very professional. You can tell the care they put into their work and into ensuring that guests are well. I already knew José Luis from other occasions and this year I also had the opportunity to meet Alicia, and it was a true pleasure.
In addition, the next day was my birthday and they had the thoughtful gesture of sending me an email to congratulate me. It may seem like a small thing, but it is precisely those details that make a stay special and that leave you with such a pleasant memory.
Although we only stayed one night, we left with the feeling of having chosen very well. A central, clean, quiet, comfortable hotel with a great parking lot and, above all, exceptional personal service.
Without a doubt, if we return to Mérida, we will repeat. Many thanks to José Luis and Alicia for everything!

The hotel Lusitana is a two-star hotel, well located, with parking, and with cafe/restaurant nearby, from the same owners who advise you.
The PARKING is about 60 meters away, on the same sidewalk and you need to be opened every time you use it. (15 €/day.)
The very new ROOM and for a two star, totally correct and acceptable. The problem comes when you are traveling and you are late, you are calling different hotels in Merida, that there is an egg, and everyone is full except this one, at 22:00. The owner notices and for two adults and two children, he charges you as if you sleep in a double room of a superior 4 stars, of course, without breakfast, which you also pay for because you go by and with two children. A FULL-BLOWN SHAMELESS MAN.
BREAKFAST is not far behind, drip coffee maker, very bad, orange juice brik liter and just as bad as coffee, pastries of the same style and to save something, the mollete with tomato and ham serrano.
The COFFEE SHOP/RESTAURANT, in the same line, quality-price ratio not adjusted, 4 drinks, two hamburgers and three half-servings of ham, loin and table varied cheeses (two types), 90 Euros.
The next day you learn that there is a fair in Zafra, and another in Merida, with which the experience becomes a THEFT, DECEPTION or whatever you want to call it.
We will return to Merida, but of course to the Lusitana hotel never.

Very expensive for what it offers
The parking 15€ very expensive and is a small garage next to the hotel that they have to open and close you.
Overall a bad experience.
