Nice reunion with Sanabria after the fires.
A great joy to be able to enjoy the beautiful place again, fortunately the fires this summer only affected the mountain tops, the villages around Lake Sanabria have not been affected.
I hope that in a short time the summits will regain their splendid beauty.

Lost reservation.
Disappointing. We booked by Booking for 7 days (Monday 22 to Monday 29 July) a cabin for two people and a studio for 3 people (a slightly larger cabin). When we arrived on Monday, around 19:00, and after calling on Saturday to confirm that everything was correct (they gave us the OK), we found that there was only a cabin for two people. My wife, my son and I were put in an apartment (which I call "zulo" affectionately and it is a room of a house where the 3 of us were, on top of that they had to put an extra bed) It would not be bad for one or two people, but not for a child. Upon arrival we paid 511 euros for the cabin of 2 people. And we didn't pay for the other room because we didn't know where we were staying or for how many days.
We were not offered any serious solutions until Wednesday, when a cabin for four people was cleared. However, the conditions for staying in this cabin were regrettable: after two nights, we had to return to the "zulo", unless another cabin was available. On Thursday at 8.30pm we told them we had decided to leave on Friday. It should be mentioned that at no time do we get to undo the bags (by what that means)
In the end they charged us three nights in the "zulo" (60 euros a night) and offered us the cabin for 3 free, which is the least they could do, although we consider it unfair. We were only offered two nights when we still had five more to go. We accepted it so we wouldn’t have to make the long drive home, which would be especially difficult for our 7-year-old son and two older people. Meanwhile, we watched new people come in every day to occupy what we had legally reserved. We wonder: where will our reservation be?
We have friends in the hotel sector who told us that the Booking conditions are very strict, so we believe that our cabin was delivered to the first one who passed by (I have no other explanation). It is really unfortunate how they treat a family like this, more for my child who spent hours crying.
Disappointing is the only word that describes this experience. We have waited a whole year to enjoy a week of vacation with the family in a beautiful place, and this has turned out to be the worst vacation of our lives. What hurts, stresses and frustrates me the most is watching my 7-year-old son cry, who wanted to stay in the lake because he had a great time, despite spending very bad nights in the "zulo".
On the other hand, except for the surprise of finding a cockroach in the apartment (understandably not included in the rent), the employees were friendly and the manager did what he could. However, this is a very serious mistake, and logically we will fight for our rights.
If we had our three-person cabin, my rating would be 5 stars. Facilities are fine, although some things require renovation. The place is cozy, the pool is nice and everything was clean except the surprise of the cockroach. It is hard to speak positively when we consider that we were expecting a great vacation and a mistake has ruined us, especially because of the illusion of a child.
On the last day, when we went to deliver the keys they wanted to charge us 41 euros for management costs and we had to threaten to call the Guardia Civil, although the manager said it was a misunderstanding. Anyway, taking numbers now coldly, they should have given us 73 euros back (we figured by eye). When we get home we'll do the exact math.**
We will fight for our rights by claiming both Booking and the establishment. We will surely take legal action for moral damages and breach of contract.

BONITA EXPERIENCIA ALOJARSE EN CABAÑAS
Teníamos ganas de vivir la experiencia de alojarnos en una cabaña con los niños y elegimos éstas por sus buenas reseñas. La verdad que el sitio es encantador: varias cabañas en una finca cerrada, con sus muros de piedra, cada una con su zona ajardinada, mesa para picnic, etc. y una pequeña zona de columpios comunes ideal para niños pequeños además de unas barbacoas también comunes para asar en grupo. Por supuesto, elegir bien la temporada, con el buen tiempo, además de que la zona tiene bastante altitud y el viento que viene es fresco. Por las noches también cae la temperatura bastante, por lo cual las cabañas son frescas, mientras tienes puesta la estufa de pellets te asas, pero por la noche si la quitas la temperatura baja mucho, por lo tanto, recomendable ir en temporada de primavera bien entrada. Además de disfrutar de hacer la vida al aire libre. A la gente que le guste la montaña y salir a andar le fascinará el paisaje. El lugar acogedor. Por poner algunas pegas: las cabañas deberían aislarse más del frio, no unas simples contraventanas. La cocina debería ser placa eléctrica (mucha gente no ha visto cocina de gas nunca) y puede ser más peligroso además. Algunos detalles como cerrojos de ventanas o puertas un poco rotos, cortinas o incluso persianas para evitar que entre luz y tener buena calidad de sueño, una nevera más grande que una simple de habitación de hotel (no olvidar que es alojamiento con cocina, se supone que la gente lleva la comida para comer allí). El wifi aéreo no funciona nada bien, pero vamos, la idea no es ir allí a ver internet. En general parece más cuidado al detalle la zona exterior que el interior de las cabañas, y no hablamos de algo barato, por el precio que cobran. Lo que pasa que desde el covid, tienen completo todos los fines de semana del año. Cuiden un poco más las cabañas por favor. Por lo demás ideal para una escapada a la naturaleza. Notable.

Cabaña encantadora
Hemos estado en familia. La cabaña ha sido especial, acogedora, muy limpia y súper acogedora. Su porche, merendero y alrededor es encantador. Estas apartado lo justo para tener tu intimidad. Mis niñas han disfrutado muchísimo.
Sus dueños súper agradables y atentos.
Además en 5 minutos estas en cualquier sitio para poder visitar.
