Would stay again

We had a lovely few days in Hostal l’estrella. They were most helpful when we had a personal difficulty and accommodated us in every way. We would definitely revisit.

Saturday evening dinner

It was very busy on our arrival but we managed to get the last table. There was a good atmosphere throughout the evening with a DJ playing music, it has an informal feel. The service was very slow but that was because they were understaffed for how busy it was. The food was quite basic but this was reflected in how reasonably priced it was. One of our family members injured themselves on a glass and the staff rushed over to help. After eating we ended our evening on the sofa area and had some cocktails, which was much more comfortable.

Comfortable rooms, lovely patio!

Cute little hotel in a beautiful old (17th century) building with an intriguing story. Friendly staff explaining the details. Comfortable rooms (ours had en-suite bathroom). And the patio is just lovely! We were there when it was the party of the town and it was buzzing with people drinking vermouth.
Also very good location in a nice little town with shops and not too far from the beach (by car).

Lovely accommodation!

This hostel was a lovely surprise and great value for money! Simple & clean rooms, also the shared bathrooms were very clean and well-maintained.
The best part was the wonderful garden with the bar! Our room was facing it and had the pleasure to enjoy music there in the evenings during the weekend. Also a great place to have your coffee in the morning :)
The breakfast was very good as well, not very varied but with fresh products and bonus points for the good coffee :)
Friendly and welcoming staff! Plus, the building has a charm of its own and quite a long history.
Definitely recommended!

Tapas, wine, music and atmosphere

As always, I value first the atmosphere: in Palafrugell, small town of Catalunya far from the crowded and beaten path of Costa Brava, there is this Hostel, L'Estrella, with a large patio under trees, small colorful tables, live music and simple delicious food and tapas. The location is a historical building of the year 1605. A line of very diverse costumers stand to get a seat: young people, old couples, family with children, guests of the hostel. Everybody seems perfectly relaxed and enjoying the atmosphere.
