Lovely Place to Stay!

Really nice spot to stay on the Camino. Modern new feel to room with air con and phone charging points. Lovely big shower and nice windows. Spacious common area with light breezy feel. A little out from the town but we got a taxi in for €5 - legs too tired!

Uncomfortably Hot

The room was sweltering with no air conditioning or fan. Very uncomfortable in the heat of summer.

Improvements are needed

We stayed in the cabin area of the Alda Palas de Rey Hotel and the experience was quite improvable. The cabins show quite a few defects and it is evident that they are deteriorated, they need urgent renovation. The only positive aspect in this regard was the cleanliness, which was good. On the other hand, the breakfast buffet seemed very poor and of very low quality, in addition to being scarce. An unpleasant detail was that they refilled the water in the coffee and milk machines, but did not replenish the product, so only water came out. There is a lot of room for improvement.

Easy to find.

For once, it WAS right on the Camino....many aren't. Huge room and very comfortable especially as this pilgrim could barely move. Very efficient at reception with English spoken. Downside is the evening meal. I had pasta bolognes and it was luke warm and made me feel not very well.
