Fantastic stay at Ars Magna hotel, Palma
Everything about our stay was perfect. Easy to communicate with staff at the property before our stay. We arrived 4 hours prior to check-in and were happy to leave our bags whilst shopping and having lunch. However, a room was available, and we were given an upgrade to a suite with a huge terrace and jacuzzi. Delightful and informative receptionist, Carmina, couldn't have been any more helpful. The bed was very comfortable, the shower great, and TV easily linked to our mobile phones, enabling us to watch tennis from Paris later in the evening. The rooftop terrace and pool are great, with city views. The location is perfect for access to the intermodal station, bars, restaurants and the Rivoli cinema.

This is a hotel that looks great but is not very practical. We booked a superior room which in reality was very small and not well thought through. The light in the toilet could not be turned off so we had to use towels around the door to darken the room. The shower door did not close properly. There was only one hook to hang towels and additional items so we had to hang them on the furniture instead. The balcony was useless - no furniture and no options to hang clothes or towels which one needs to dry after using the pool.
There were not many electrical sockets for charging stuff, and they had installed ”dead” USB ports next to the bed on both sides that did not function - maybe it’s an upcoming feature that they did not yet activate, or they just forgot to connect them.
The breakfast was very sad so we recommend not booking it and instead eat in town.
The pool was underwhelming and a bit crowded.
All in all it was not good value for money.

Wonderful hotel with great staff
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ars Magna! The hotel is located in a lively, charming street close to the historic center – for us, the perfect location. Our room was very nice: we had booked the cheapest option, but it was surprisingly spacious and even had a small balcony at the back. The bathroom was large and spotless, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly and the modern digital lighting was very convenient. The large flatscreen TV allowed us to stream all apps easily, which we really enjoyed.
Breakfast was good: not a huge variety, but tasty and fresh. Eggs and bacon are available on request. The café/restaurant attached to the hotel is also very nice – the perfect spot to enjoy a drink in the evening before going to bed.
The ladies at the reception were extremely friendly and helpful; nothing was ever too much trouble. We are very grateful for their kindness.
And then the absolute highlight: the rooftop! We spent time there every day. The spacious rooftop terrace has plenty of seating, seven sunbeds, and a pool that is definitely big enough to cool off (8m x 4m). Such a relaxing place!
In short: we will definitely come back here and will recommend this hotel to our friends.
