Thanks for everything, James.
See how I explain it. The village is simply stunning. It is worth walking through it and climbing to the castle, get the village church opened and see its altarpiece, which has known better days but is still a past. Of course you can take the hiking trails of the Dulce River and many others in the area, etc. But everything falls short compared to the Hotel Casa Lola, with very few very nice rooms, decorated, with pleasure and, especially meeting a real force of nature, the Scotsman James McNeil, a character with a philosophy of life of film, read, traveled and with a lot of world. Good talker and better person. It was a privilege to meet you, James.

Ideal house for hiking. Super cozy and breakfasts of 10
James makes you feel like you're at a friends house. Cozy from the moment you enter it, you see the fireplace lit, that smell that makes you remember old times, a taste of the town.... James introduces himself and is interested in the people who come to his house, he is interested in your names, where you come from, what you are looking for on these vacations... I hope life gives you back all those attentions that you ALWAYS dedicate to your clients, keep dreaming and pursue your dreams. Totally recommended of course, and those homemade breakfasts, endearing..... I recommend the room with mountain views, excellent views and more intimate than the others.

Very special rural house, surrounded by nature and with wonderful hosts
Beautiful rural house, cozy, perfect cleanliness, beautiful views, wonderful tranquility, with a delicious homemade breakfast included, with toast, biscuits, coffee, juice and above all the personal attention of James, close, friendly and endearing, and that of Díana as well. perfect... We will return without a doubt and we will recommend it

Casa Lola - the experience
We have just returned from a three-night experience at the wonderful Casa Lola. This was a memorable combination of culture, nature and superb culinary adventures.
James and Diana provide a very personal and thoughtful program and pack an extraordinary number of excursions and activities into three days, including an evening of Tapas and Pinchos; a morning exploring and foraging around the immediate neighbourhood of their village of Pelegrina; the most delicious charcoal roast lamb for lunch in Diana’s ‘Restaurante El Paraiso’; sightseeing in Siguenza guided expertly by James with lunch in the town; a wine tasting followed by more wine and a cookery lesson in Casa Lola under Diana’s supervision with James on hand with more wine.
Casa Lola is classically Spanish, rustic and charming with basic, spacious and comfortable rooms that have everything you need. There is an open fireplace in the main reception area that draws you in for cosy chats and lazy evenings, our host James discreetly on hand to assist, guide and tend to us.
This is a place to enjoy a different type of holiday in a remote Spanish village where the light and air is so special, where there is peace and tranquillity and views that will simply take your breath away, were you are going to be looked after and made to feel welcome.
One last thing, the price is the price and it is incredible value!

Platinum Hospitality in rural Spain
Can't thank James, Diana and Lola enough for the exceptional hospitality, care and love shown to myself & my autistic son Michael whilst staying at their wonderful rural bed & breakfast. The meals, breakfasts, outings and local bar were simply five star !!
