Fun hotel but needs a bit of TLC
I've stayed at this hotel for a week and the atmosphere's great. It's very well located but that comes with the flip side that if you're in one of the westernmost rooms you'll have a great view of the Mykonos and Mantrix clubs - and all the sounds coming from it will be audible until around 4am and 6am respectively. Not a massive problem if you're a heavy sleeper or if you spend most of your night there anyway.
The rooms are fine with the massive exception of the bathroom. They're hopelessly dated and in need of grand renovation, with the layer of green paint on the tiles (presumably applied during a previous minor renovation) showing great wear. They are clean though - the cleaning staff really do their jobs well.
The pool area's nice with a clothing optional sunbathing area on the western side (hint: somewhat cruisy, average age above 40). There's a good atmosphere allround. The pool isn't heated but once you're in it doesn't really matter anyway when it's the usual weather. Drinks are priced around Yumbo pricing (think €4 for a beer), with happy hour from 16h-18h (2 drinks for price of one). I spent most of the time in the nude area and I really wish the whole pool area were clothing optional (Ritual Torremolinos supposedly has one). IMO complaints about the music being too loud are unfounded, the volume was pretty moderate.
I would say Axel is somewhat better but it really depends on whatever price you can obtain. I am not sure whether I'm going back to either but this is more related to the limited clothing optional options in both hotels rather than any of the hotel's faults.

Very noisy place music loud till 6 am
Reception desk and cleaning team very good they charge for everything! Es: room safe extra daily! Breakfast is absolutely crap ! Very poor assortment and from 9 to 11 if you arrive late the staff in the breakfast bar very poor hot drinks sweet assortment no no no. I been charge to check out extended 2 .5 hours they charge me as well cappuccino or coffee are absolutely disgusting! Loud place swimming pool no people enjoying the boss should change staff and revamp the hotel ,

Good and bad
Firstly the good: It's in a perfect location for the Yumbo Centre, etc and with good distant views if you are in the 3rd or 4th floor. The staff are friendly, there is plenty of sunbeds round the pool and there's a secluded nudist area of to the side. The not-so-good: The shower base and the small table in the bedroom area are both in poor condition and let the hotel down. There is no seat in the table area of the bedroom (I brought one in from the patio). The internet is unacceptable for 2026, being slow and FREQUENTLY stops altogether. It is barely useable, which is not good enough.

Another gay space taken over.
Was mostly straight people gawping at the odd gay person around the pool like it was some sort of zoo. Awful. Avoid.

Very clean apartment style room, bathroom could do with an update.
This was my second visit to the Hotel Ritual and this time as a solo traveller. My room which was a small apartment with two single beds looked like it had been recently refurbished and I was pleasantly surprised how clean and well maintained the room was. What has made me score a 4 rather than a 5 is that the bathroom, although again very clean, was dated and could certainly do with an upgrade. Check in was easy and the colleague on reception was very friendly. The location of the hotel is probably its main feature with it being so close to all that the Yumbo centre has to offer both day and night. Easily accessed by foot in less than 5 minutes down a passage way to the side of the hotel. Yes there is noise at night from the Yumbo centre but once the balcony doors are closed you can’t really hear it. This room benefitted from having the bedroom at the back with the kitchen (with a nice empty standard sized fridge) and lounge area going out onto the balcony. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return again.
