Magnificent family vacation.
Magnificent hotel for a family trip, we had a great time. The shows were very well chosen, the staff is very kind and attentive. The facilities are in perfect condition, everything very clean. The buffet food was a bit repetitive but quite good. The location is unbeatable, next to the beach but with a pine forest and dune in between with access via stairs and a walkway. Would stay again.

busy pool area
Very busy pool area with sunbeds in short supply due in part to the hotel selling day passes.Entertainment at the pool during the day and in the outdoor bar in the evening at 10 pm.We were surprised about how many primary school age children were staying at the hotel during term time.The room was great with a view out to sea and spotlessly clean.The hotel staff were excellent,very friendly and helpful and helped make our stay enjoyable.We stayed half board and yes the food could be hotter sometimes but it is a buffet and overall we enjoyed the food and there was plenty of choice.There isn't much in the way of food available during the day at the poolside bar ,most people seemed to be on full board .There are 4 or 5 bar/restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the hotel.There didn't appear to be a hotel dedicated beach area,it might be seasonal.The beach itself is a few minutes walk from the hotel with water sports available but no sunbeds or umbrellas.There are some to hire further along the beach about a 20 minute walk away. Isla Cristina itself offers very little beyond a harbour cruise and beaches .There is limited public transport to other areas.

One to miss as a quiet couples place.
We were sold this as having the ability to walk to nice restaurants, quiet unspoiled adult only the pictures of pool and rooms looked great.. but unfortunately creative license was used and on arrival we were met with screaming from the pool area , an area more derelict than unspoiled with most houses looking like a prison with more bars and electronic security gates and 24 hr security signs plastered all over them. Not a pleasant place to walk dodging the dog poo. As said before it’s 30 euro taxi ride or over an hour and half walk to any sign of a decent restaurant. The gym which was a good point what they didn’t mention it’s one to the public so your waiting for the equipment and it doesn’t open till 10am ! The pool is very very noisy and open until 8pm. If you want a couples holiday in a nice area this is not the place to go. They rate it as a 4 star this is not a 4star I have been in 2 stars that have been in better areas and have more facilities than this. The money you are expected to pay is well over what it’s worth.

A dream turned into a hotel.
The best vacation of my life was this week. The Estival Isla Cristina hotel is the exact and perfect place to experience an unbeatable stay. From my arrival, the reception ladies Ana and Paula made us feel at home. Mr. Eliseo from security is also worthy of recognition for his problem-solving ability in any situation that may arise, always willing to help with a smile on his face. The buffet was different every day of our stay, and I don't know how they did it, but each dinner surpassed the previous one in variety and quality. The breakfasts were exquisite. It is also worth highlighting the service of the ladies Ana (buffet attendant) and Cristina (buffet and bar attendant).
The rooms were always clean and organized. The entertainment team was super fun; the guy (I don't remember his name) has a lot of energy and makes every activity really enjoyable. Andres, the dance instructor, is super professional and lively; his classes are very good. The night shows are very varied and functional for the hotel. The hotel also offers a wide variety of excursions that are worth checking out and considering. It is also worth mentioning that it has a very convenient location, allowing you to walk outside the hotel (if you wish) and explore the beautiful streets of the town, enjoy a drink at one of its bars, or try the food from one of its local businesses.
Overall, all the hotel staff make your stay UNMATCHED and make a return INEVITABLE. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, ESTIVAL ISLA CRISTINA TEAM

Not one for a second visit
We were looking forward to a quiet holiday,but that is not what we have.Have only been here 2 days and wish I was somewhere else.
Hotel clean ,staff friendly and helpful from reception to ladies who clean rooms, The food in restaurant is very good but lukewarm there is a microwave you can use if needed.
The problem we find is the pool music is far to loud it is 17.36 on Friday the 5th June and you cannot hear yourself think .We are on the 4th floor and noise is unbearable.
I contacted hotel way back asking for quite room and we certainly didn't get one.
The walk to town takes about 25 minutes and be prepared for dog poo every where it's from Walkway at sea right onto town. In town there is Lidl,Dia and El Jamon for supermarkets plus other fruit shops and bakerys.if looking to get a bus to Ayamonte you still have to walk a good while to bus station again over 25 minutes. According to our rep the cost of taxi to Ayamonte would be 30 euros.
We have visited many hotels all over the world and I can honestly say this is one not to be visited again
