Quiet and romantic country life
Granja San Miquel has 10 rooms and 2 casitas (small houses) on the edge of the quiet town of Salem. Ideal starting point for hikes in the green mountains and mountain bike tours.
The owner Maria Jesus is a real treasure; she takes excellent care of the guests' well-being in an unruffled manner. Great breakfast. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. Not a 5-star luxury lodge on the French Riviera, but authentic and with the certain charm of country life. There is a pool with refreshingly cold water, also very clean with a filter and circulation pump.

A wonder to visit as a family
It's the second time we've been to Granja San Miguel in Salem and this time with our two-year-old girl. The staff is wonderful, and Jesu, the owner is super attentive to everything. Cleanliness, animals, restaurant, everything great! The food a delight, we ate a delicious Valencian paella! Our little girl had a bomb giving food to the fish, seeing the chickens and even offered to ride the pony, but so far the little girl did not dare, next time for sure!

Excellent!
Last weekend we were at this beautiful farm. The house is designed with great taste, which for me, as a painter, is very important. It is located next to the mountains, we chose this place because we like to spend our rest time close to Nature. Isabel from the SAÓ travel company helped us find this place. With pleasure and gratitude I can say that it met all our expectations. And some even surpassed it! I mean the food. We did not expect this high level in such a rural place! Everything, but really everything, we ate in this picturesque restaurant was surprisingly delicious and beautiful. We really enjoyed the dishes, the decoration of the dishes (and the room), the smells, flavors, and the views through the windows. At Jesu and Enric's house we feel cared for with great affection. They did us a favor by changing the meal time (the offer was dinner, but we had very little dinner and at 7:00 p.m.). And in this way we were able to eat at 2:30 p.m. enjoying all the variety of dishes they served us (all freshly made, warm and with quality products). Breakfast was also a huge surprise, it was more like brunch, very varied, tasty, lots of everything. We left the restaurant full, happy, in a good mood. The owner was very attentive to everything, we chatted with her and this was another pleasure for us. The room where we slept (and the bathroom) was totally silent, very clean, the bedding was beautiful, embroidered, I felt like I was in my grandmother's house. We took advantage of the proposal and did a three-hour route through the mountains with a Nordic walking coach and we loved it (the route and the coach ;)). One afternoon I also participated in a yoga and meditation session. That was also professional and in a very spacious and charming room. We will definitely return!

Beautiful rural agriturismo with delicious meals
We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2020 and loved it (couple + 2 children, 7 and 10). the pool was fab for the kids, we loved the restored farmhouse accommodation with its beautiful courtyards where we had our evening wine under the trees looking out at the sunset. Maria inherited the farm from her grandparents and runs it with her son, she was so hospitable and interesting to talk to about the history and sights of the area. Our room was beautifully cleaned every day and the dinners were sublime - different offerings every night. There's also a spa where I had a lovely relaxing massage.

A gem.
We spent two nights at the casa after escaping from Valencia. It was truly lovely; it was cold during the weekend so very quiet and cozy. Meals were delicious, warm fire at night in the farmhouse. The area is striking with its endless orange and olive groves and the cliff sides hanging over the farmland. If you love hiking there is no shortage of trails and trees in the neighboring national parks. I would highly recommend the hike to the peak out of Agres and lunch at the restaurant at the base of the convent.
