Clean, relaxed, and absolutely recommendable.
I had a one-bedroom apartment with a separate bedroom and bathroom, as well as an open kitchen/living area with a balcony. I was particularly positively surprised by the cleanliness – especially the kitchen and appliances were exceptionally well-maintained.
Wi-Fi and air conditioning worked flawlessly, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was consistently friendly and helpful. I was especially grateful that I was allowed to check in significantly earlier.
The facility itself always appeared clean and tidy. The beach was also quickly accessible, very well-kept, and truly beautiful.
The only small downside was the somewhat noisy rooms. However, I did not quite warm up to Santo Tomás personally during the off-season, as I found there was a bit too little offered there. However, the hotel cannot be blamed for that – I would return to the hotel anytime.

Read the reviews carefully before you book this hotel
Except the location, everything else was disappointing during our 2 weeks holiday in this hotel. It’s nowhere near a 4* hotel as advertised. Well… the tourist charge is for a 4* plus hotel?! A 4 * hotel doesn’t charge for beach towels, we always had towel cards for this service. Reception area was old & tired and the staff was not willing to help with anything at all, customer service is non-existent. You can go to the other 4* plus Seth hotel on the main street nearby to see how a proper hotel of this rating looks like, looks miles away compared to Mestral & Llebeig.
The sofa bed was uncomfortable and the air conditioning doesn’t work very well in the bedrooms, there is no remote control either. Even though there is a control unit in the room, we had no instructions for it so we had to wake up throughout the night to turn it on and off. The rooms are basic, not to the standard of a 4* hotel and the beds are quite hard even with a topper. They didn’t change the towels or bed sheets regularly during the cleaning (every 4 days), only a quick floor mopping and that’s it. Rubbish bags weren’t collected either on cleaning day. The shower has a long tray but there is no door to get in so the water splashes everywhere.
The restaurant was very poor, way too small for the amount of guests and badly managed. There is no air conditioning so you end up sweating during the dinner, quite often there are queues to get in and then more queuing for food. The food was average quality, repetitive and often dirty plates were put out for the buffet. Sometimes a dish was mixed with another food and no staff was there to supervise what’s going on in the buffet area. Salt & pepper was missing on some tables which are often “cleaned” in a rush. During the dinner, no water is available – for what we paid, at least water with meals should be included in the price.
In the morning they had “orange juice” from a machine (water mixed with something) and the drinking water was warm from the same dispenser. Coffee was the same regardless of what you select from the coffee machine.
We had a late flight home and have asked if we can keep the room for a late check out, more than happy to pay for this service. We’ve been told come back a day before we leave. We did that early in the morning only to be told that the hotel is fully booked and we can’t have a late check out. Out of curiosity, we went back in the evening (because someone else was on reception) and they said there were a few rooms available but were allocated in the morning?! When we told them that in the morning we were told differently, they changed it to the same story saying the hotel is fully booked. We walked past our room around 5pm and there still wasn’t anyone in it, we knew this because we left the curtains in a certain way and they were in the same position.
The hotel doesn’t offer a courtesy room as most of the hotels do when you leave so we ended up taking a shower opposite reception. I should’ve taken a picture of them ones as well because they are very old and the cabin is so small, no shower gel available so we had to get out and get some soap from the dispenser on the wall next to the washing basin.
We felt like cash cows over there, all they’re interested is to charge you for every little thing they can. There are no entertainment facilities offered to the hotel guests and you have to pay for everything.
The overall service is not worth the price we paid to stay in this hotel.

Fabulous stay as always
Just got back from another brilliant stay, we’ve been coming for many years and had the best time as always! Friendly staff, spacious apartments and amazing location with the beach just across the road. Pools are great and the splash park, there are also always a good selection of inflatables to choose from in the box by the pool to keep everyone entertained and saves buying any. I have to say my sons favourite part was the kids club, special mention to Lucia who is just so lovely and recognises us everytime we come! There is lots to do down at Las Dunas aswell for the children, games machines, bouncy castles, trampolines and face painting. We went half board and there was always a good selection of food and desserts which we all enjoyed and for my son too who can be a fussy eater. Overall we had the best time and already looking at getting our holiday booked for next year!!

Lovely hotel for families
We spent a week half board staying in the Llebeig block.
Reception area was a little dated but clean & cool! Mara checked us in & was lovely, very friendly & welcoming.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. Very spacious with a large balcony. Apartment was very clean throughout. We faced out to the pool area. Beds were firm but comfy & the AC was amazing & much needed.
We mainly used the pool on the Llebeig block. Plenty of sunbeds. Sunbed wars not really an issue, there were still beds available in the afternoon. Pool area was clean.
Ivan at the bar (& also in the restaurant ) was lovely & very friendly. We didn’t eat from the snack bar but cocktails were awesome & ice creams quite reasonably priced.
Visited the Mestral pool for Aqua Gym (Wed & Sat), would say that’s the busier pool as you have the kid splash pool next to it. The ladies running the aqua gym were good fun.
Breakfast & dinner were served in the restaurant across the road. Plenty of choice, never had a bad meal or any complaints. We were a group of 10 (4 children 5, 10, 11 & 13). Every evening they pushed tables together so we could all sit together.
We were looked after by Braulio, who was so lovely. Really looked after us & made meal times fun & enjoyable. Didn’t really experience big queues for food, always clean plates available.
The beach was a short walk away, just had a paddle as not a big beach fan but other members of the group spent more time there & enjoyed it. Check out the reuse box by the pools that had buckets & spades to use at the beach (also inflatables, umbrellas).
3 supermarkets few minutes walk away, not a great deal of bars or restaurants so not the best resort for self catering.
Watched a couple of night’s entertainment, what we saw was good! All the children in the group made use of the free face painting of an evening.
Only slight niggle was slow on sorting certain maintenance issues. Asked a few times for soap to be refilled in the ladies toilet in the restaurant which wasn’t done the whole time we were there, couple of other small issues that were slow to sort but appreciate they were busy as it’s peak holiday time.
This is our 3rd visit to Menorca, each time a different resort, this hotel was by far the best one.
We would recommend to family & friends & wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.

And small family orientated resort.
A lovely family friendly resort with apartments that can either be half board or self catering.
Apartments are clean, comfortable, and well enough equipped for self catering.
They are cleaned daily if wished, and the grounds are well maintained. It is largely peacefully at night.
Meals taken across at Las Dunas are plentiful with a large variety of choice every day. Children's menu available. The staff there are really hard working, clearing up and refreshing tables. There are dining options inside with air con or outside.
There is a variety of entertainment on site including a children's play area, crazy golf, pool, children's disco, free face painting and adult entertainment.
There are 2 pools with toddler areas plus a small splash park perfect for little ones.
The beach is a short walk away and is kept very clean. The sea is warm and good for snorkeling.
This was our forth holiday here and would highly recommend to anyone with smaller children/ grandchildren. Note though, it is not a resort for teenagers or those seeking bars, nightlife and large water parks.
