A Lovely Stay in a Beautiful Inn

I spent 3 nights at Casa Solance in early June 2026. It was just terrific! Jorge and Ricardo are the best hosts ever, and clearly care about every aspect of your stay. I arrived on a Saturday to await my friend who was walking the entire Camino Frances (weak me just did the last 80 miles). Jorge checked me in at 10am and gave me an extensive overview of Sarría including the sights and restaurants. I spent the rest of the day wandering the town, which is lovely. In the early evening I heard live music, and followed the sound down to a little amphitheater in the "real" part of town. It was a festival of Galician bands who were all excellent. And Jorge and Ricardo were there as well! They waved me over, bought me a beer, and spent time introducing me to their family and friends, getting to know more about me, and I learned much about them as well. I started the day thousands of miles from home not knowing a soul, and ended it feeling like I should consider working on my Spanish and moving to Sarría for good.
The inn itself is warm, inviting, quiet, and beautifully done. I spend one night in a room overlooking the Camino itself (part of the original house I believe), and then two nights in the rooms facing the courtyard. Both were large rooms with modern bathrooms, hot water with great water pressure, and very comfortable beds. Noise was never a problem, even in the room facing the Camino.
The breakfasts were very tasty and freshly prepared. Don't skip this! And the recommendations for dinner were spot on. Meson Roberto was a standout. I ate there on Saturday night after the festival and was surrounded by mostly local families. Even the taxi driver that was recommended was a fantastically interesting and fun guy (I took a taxi "backwards" along the Camino to find my friend and walked back into Sarría one day. The same driver took us to the Monastery of Samos as well -a great side trip from Sarría). And the luggage transfer service they arranged worked perfectly.
Casa Solance was a a great start to my Camino experience. I would stay here again in an instant. Thanks to Jorge and Ricardo for making my stay so memorable. Best wishes for continued success!

A perfect start!

We stayed at Casa Solange; it was our first evening. The following day, we started the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. Excellent facility.
The rooms are comfortable, and the cleanliness is perfect, with soft background music, in a very central location.
The owners are very kind and friendly, the breakfast is excellent, the best of the entire journey. We highly recommend booking at this facility; for us, it was the best possible start!

Wonderful way to begin our Camino

Loved our stay at Casa Solance before our first day walking the Camino. Jorge was welcoming and informative, and our room was quiet, clean, and quaint. Right on the Camino!
