GREAT LOCATION/ GREAT BED/GREAT EVERYTHING

PHENOMENAL LOCATION. A 10 minute walk from every single thing!!!
The best hostel I've ever stayed in. A beautiful climate for those traveling alone or in a group .. a quiet, peaceful, friendly environment .. is the first time I can so easily make friends and meet the guys of the hostel. Thanks to the organizers who did not miss an opportunity to be all together. The rooftop is really the icing on the cake, I loved the flamenco night with the great guys but above all I LOVED the cooks, delicious food guys a note of honor to the barista: nice, welcoming and above all he can do a lot with the guys ..
Better bed I slept in, sky-high cleanliness and especially the bathroom always clean (probably I also had luck with roommates)
Breakfast good and rich, nothing was missing .. I really enjoyed the common areas ..
spotless kitchen and stra stocked.
So what about, if I could give 10 stars I would give them.
(Stra safe even at night as an area, but all downtown l foundtp generally safe.)
From a lone traveler. Thank you guys❤️

Over-rated and over-priced

The staff here are all lovely, there’s no doubting that. However, like others who’ve left negative reviews, I agree that this hostel desperately needs a renovation, especially the shared bathroom facilities which are in really poor condition (see photos). It’s a small hostel with little communal space apart from the rooftop and reception area (which I think explains why it’s so social).
As other reviewers have highlighted, I found the biggest issue was that the dorms are very, very cramped. There’s little space to hang items or (un-)pack your belongings, with little thoughts given to adding hanging hooks, shelving etc. Also, because the dorms are cramped, they’re noisy! Dorm beds have only one USB socket, no power socket, a light and a curtain. On a positive note, towels are free, although I’m sure the inflated price reflects this.
I think the free sangria and bar Happy Hour explain the positive reviews, plus when this hostel opened ten years ago it won some awards, but it feels like it’s been left to decay since then, with poor maintenance of the facilites. If the owners renovate the facilities it’ll be a great hostel once again, but I’d recommend staying in one of the other nearby hostels for half the price of staying here.

Social hostel with cathedral rooftop views and great staff

Amazing reception staff. Very central location. The rooftop bar is awesome with great views of the cathedral. The dinner is so worth it, the night we participated they made paella and it was authentic and a good serving. They cultivate a fun environment with the dinner and pub crawl. Room was solid… the lockers didn’t feel the most secure since they can kinda be accessed even when locked. The hot water in the shower was also inconsistent. I would definitely come back though despite those nitpicks.

Superb!

La Banda Rooftop Hostel is ideally situated in the historic centre of Seville, about 5 minutes stroll from both the airport bus stop [Torre Del Oro/P.º de Cristóbal Colón]
and the Cathedral. I was in the city to experience the awesome and enthralling celebration of Semana Santa. Upon arrival I was greeted by the friendly Liza, who completed the check-in process quickly and efficiently. She provided lots of useful information relating to the hostel and the city. I was in a mixed four-bed dorm with a co-working space and shared bathroom. Bedding and towels are included in the price. Everything about the accommodation/workspace/bathroom were of a very high standard. Each guest is provided with a spacious locker in which to safely store personal possessions. The hostel provides a delicious complimentary breakfast, enjoyed at large communal tables and consisting of cereals, toast, juice, fruit, coffee/tea etc. There is a very wide range of daily activities on offer, including a communal evening meal for €9. The rooftop bar/terrace [with spectacular views to the Cathedral] is a great social space in which to meet fellow travellers from around the world. An excellent hostel in a fab location. Unreservedly recommended.

Wish I could’ve stayed longer.

Amazing service from the workers, they helped our friend who had a peanut allergy by giving him recommendations and ensuring they were peanut free. also gave us a lot of help for places to go in Seville. The rooms are also nicer than any hotel i’ve ever been to. Very spacious as well. Free breakfast is a great perk and the dinner they offer every night is always delicious.
