A dismal value for money, not recommended, location is remarkable, best options

Very sparse furniture in bad condition , with dampness , with bad smell, and with a very bad value for money: scarce.
Interior window to a courtyard of lights where there was an automatic washing machine that made noise and gave off smell, noise from other rooms, partitions of thin thickness.

Well located pension close to the main attractions and river.
Hostel is very basic no frills but good value for money. Clean and comfortable enough for the price.Check in process can be confusing as you are messaged in Spanish and also says the desk is unmanned after 9.00pm, though it actually is manned 24/7.
Quite reasonable overall.

All in all, possible

Convenient location, a stone's throw from the bus station and the center. Nice structure with a nice entrance. Without lift, room on the second floor, clean, with large window and therefore very noisy. Two beds, single central bedside table, no lights except the central one, small but also clean bathroom. Terrible "furniture": broken furniture and bathroom with a sort of door without a handle to close but on the other hand with an incomprehensible external latch!! On the other hand they made the beds. Nice and kind staff.

Cheap and cheerful. Close enough to bus station at Plaza de Almas.
