Beautiful hotel, great staff. Would return.
Although the hotel is located on a steep hill don’t let it put you off because they provide a free half hourly comfortable shuttle bus. A 5 mins ride to the beach area means you can get to the beautoful beach, cafes and bars and to the local bus service.
Son Bou is between Mahon and Citadela and a regular local bus meant that we could get out for a visit.
The hotel is lovely, clean and modern looking. It never seemed overly crowded or noisy so is perfect for a family stay. With lovely gardens and pool side area you are comfortable in the sun or the shade. There are activities to get involved in if you wish. All staff are amazing, so friendly, kind and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The varied menu and food at the pool side bar was fantastic. The cost of food and drinks wasn’t pricey. Mostly cheaper than, or on a par with, food at home. We loved it and would come here again.

Roberto's Mud Pie Cocktail Try it !!!!!!
Just finishing a week at the Valentin Son Bou.
Extremely busy obviously because of school /summerholidays.
Just to say the staff handled this period with friendliness and professionalism and the food was fantastic with top quality ingredients the three varieties of ice-cream switched both at lunch and dinner and were amazing the best I have had in any hotel.
Keep up the good work and I will definitely be back.
Finally like to mention Robert (Roberto) who works at the Premium Bar and the Pool Bar .
What a pleasant and friendly young man he will even make you a special cocktail he has created it's like a Mud Pie and is addictive if you like creamy cocktails which I do .

All about the food!
Husband, grandson and I are just back from a week in Valentin San Bou, Menorca. We stayed in the apartment which is quite spacious for 2 or 3 people, however, I don't think it is suitable for 4 adults. The sofa bed was quite short for a 6 feet tall teenager.
The whole complex was lovely with plenty of greenery. The staff were fantastic and displayed an incredible energy which was rubbing on everybody! This is a fantastic place for families, particularly with young children as there are loads of little activities that guests can opt in at the last minute. I would not recommend the complex if you are looking for a quiet holiday.
The food was absolutely amazing! We went half-board which was perfect for us. If you're not a big drinker, in my opinion, there's no point going all inclusive. Every night there was a different theme, and every night we looked forward to trying more delicious food. I was really impressed by the care and professionalism of the chefs. My husband is dairy intolerant and at every dinner, a chef would walk him around the buffet telling him what he could have. They also baked vegan desserts every day. This made him feel very special. Chef Manu was particularly friendly and attentive. To be honest, I would go back for the food alone!
For those who like a little more culture, you can hire a car. The island is not big, but travelling by bus can be time consuming, although going to Mahon (Maó) is super easy.

Great hotel!
Just back from a week at Valentin Son Bou and was very impressed. Great location on top of the hill meaning the surrounding area very quite but only a 3 minute free ride to the beach and shops on their shuttle bus.
Fantastic food selection all day, friendly staff, all looking smart and good drinks selection within the inclusive package. Apartment was looking a little tired but clean, spacious and a nice balcony.
Special mention to Uxia in the restaurant who never stopped but was always smiling and Ana in the bar for her attention.
Would definitely come here again.

Great family hotel.
Just returned from a wonderful family holiday at this hotel.
All staff are very friendly, helpful and very hardworking. Special mention for the animation team and restaurant staff. Huge choice of food on offer and special diets well catered for.
Hotel is kept very clean, and where some people mention the rooms being dated, they still offer plenty of drawers and hanging space for clothing.
I would not hesitate to return to this lovely family hotel.
