Family trip

The situation of the hostel is perfect, next to the main street but at the same time not giving directly is quieter to be able to rest at night.
The staff is very friendly and a very good deal. The clean and correct rooms size and has a social lounge to have a quiet coffee. Ideal for people who want to have a place to know the area.

Little humanity and empathy

We canceled a reservation for the death of the mother of one of the people who was going and even renting the 3 rooms again, they have not been able to return the money. The other two houses still not renting them returned the full money and they have not had any empathy with us and have kept the money from our reserve plus that from the new reserve.

Unfortunate

Unfortunate treatment, you cannot treat guests like this. I brought a group of friends and they seemed to be doing them a favor. Besides that they are quite loose the rooms

Simple but clean

Surprisingly nice for a "pension". Simple. Small. Super clean: sheets, shower (no mildew)… Bed comfortable. Great location and could not hear street noise, but could slightly hear guests next door. Pull up to "pension" in narrow street to drop off suitcases and park a bit outside of the town. No elevator - it's an old building. Town very cute. Great walk up to the castle. Lots of "taverns" and a few restaurants -best to book ahead. We went to Virrey for dinner and breakfast with no reservation.

Decent budge accommodation

Visiting the Duero region and looking for accommodation, Burgo de Osma was our place of choice, a pleasant small town with remarkable history and several monuments. Accommodation is either top end or budget. Hostal Mayor 71 is situated in the center and our room had a small balcony on the main pedestrian street right opposite the episcopal palace. It was a weekday, so the street was quiet. The room was spacious, had TV and wifi, the bathroom was basic but clean. We were shown an interior room first which was a bit depressing, so be sure to ask for an exterior front room. The lobby has a coffee vending machine and tables where one can sit and surf on the internet, as signal is somewhat weak in the room. The reception is actually the only disadvantage, since there isn't always someone there to attend. If you are elderly or travel with heavy luggage, note that you have to climb a flight of stairs to reach reception and rooms. But it is a hostel not a hotel, so for 30 euros a night for a double room with private bathroom it was definitely very good value for money.
