Professionally run budget bespoke hostal.

I stayed in 3 different rooms during my time in Tarragona. All had tv, hair dryer, plenty of clean towels and soap. One had a nice large fridge and one had a large outdoor area with chairs a table and nice plants for just myself to use all for 28 quid! The rooms are cleaned every day and fresh towels, toilet rolls etc are replaced as required. The cleaning ladies are very thorough and helpful.
The reception area is next door but one with indoor and outdoor seating area. You can buy a good breakfast here with a choice of prices for different types of food. The people at reception who run the hostal look like a family and they always look busy but will always help you. I got given the local and useful map on arrival along with a 'bespoke' list of places they thought I might like. They have info on all the bus routes and times, they are keen to share their local knowledge as they are obviously proud of their fantastic city. I presume they are a family.
They checked my flight in and printed off my boarding pass for free. They will listen to your requirements and try and meet them. All my rooms had toilet and shower en-suite but there are some that don't so when you book (which you need to do early to guarantee your 'bespoke' service) you need to request wether you need fridge or double or en suite etc.
The hostel is situated perfectly for the old part of the city, yet close to the bus station, a brilliant indoor food market and loads of places to eat.
The bus for the Roman Aqueduct goes from a 2 minute walk away and all the incredible Roman architecture is everywhere nearby, you don't have to walk far.
In all this is an ideal budget place to stay.

better pay bit more somewhere else

It is not expensive place however the price is still too high for the conditions. The room wasn't cosy, it was like from 80's maybe, I hope that a mattress was not that old ;) there was no elevator so for the highest floor it was not so easy to climb with the luggage. Often there was no / very weak connection to Internet.
I recommend staying in the hostel or choose better hotel instead.

Can't imagine worse, very smelly!

We decided to go for a short weekend trip to Tarragona, our budget was tight but we didn't imagine the hostel would turn out such a disappointment. We arrived and went straight there, we were gobsmacked. Firstly it smelt very bad, very musty. The bedroom was small, very old fashioned and cranky. But the most astonishing was that the bathroom was in the small balcony that was looking at a grotty interior patio. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Buena experiencia

El hostal está muy bien situado en Tarragona, al lado de la Rambla y muy cerca de la estación de autobús y la estación de tren. Viajé sola y la habitación en la que estuve era amplia y con baño privado. El wifi funcionó correctamente. Nada que objectar a mi estancia ahí, económico y un trato magnífico por lo que respecta a sus trabajadores. Le doy la puntuación máxima.

Déconseillé, très bruillant et ménage pas niquel !

Le personnel de l'accueil est très aimable. L'Hostel est bien placé pour visiter. Très bruillant car pas d'isolation phonique et le ménage n'est pas niquel !
Si vous payez plus cher pour avoir les avantages de la douche et wc dans la chambre, vous avez les inconvénients d'avoir votre chambre juste à coté des douches et wc communs, où tout le monde va à toutes les heures, "nuit blanche assurée" c'était notre cas.Ne vous trompez pas! il est plus que limite.
