Fawlty Towers ......

I needed a hotel for ten nights in the area.
Saw on booking.com
Drove to this one and thought it was shut but the owner came out and said they were open.
I was introduced to another guest by the owner who I later found out was hired help and an estate agent at the hotel.
I was surprised when the following day she started telling me my star sign and when my birthday was having been nosey with my booking details !
The hotel room was ok - the bedding is weird. Like sleeping bag liners impossible to get warm and sleep with.
The hotel feels empty.
I discovered from the owner who rents the hotel that he has grand plans to build apartments on the site and buy it off the owners.
I hope he’s better at building than running a hotel.
No one was staying there so facilities were limited.
The owner should not be running a hotel.
The estate agent come waitress come helper is extremely rude and some of the things she said I was shocked with.
One day she brought me coffee in a chipped builders mug instead of the usual cup and saucer !
When I asked for a cup and saucer she then said - no wonder your divorced !!
Bloody rude !!
That’s before we get into his family descending at the hotel and tearing the hotel kitchen as if they were at home !!
All the rules about kitchen and catering hygiene went out the window.
On the last day I owed them approx
€15 for remaining breakfast.
Waited 20 mins at reception no joy !
Phoned twice no answer !
Went back twice no one there !
Spoke with the owner and sent an email.
He thought everything was in my imagination and he’s the perfect hotelier !
Please do not spoil your holiday by staying here !!
This hotel should be shut down !
Probably in all my years one of the most horrific hotel stays ever.
DON’T BOOK THIS HOTEL !!!!

THe worst service ever

I would like to write an unpleasant review about our holidays in that hotel. We booked 8 days in the hotel with the restaurant, which is always opened and ready to serve fresh food, including breakfast buffet or paella from the Spanish chef. Then we were ready to rent motorbikes, that the hotel offers in the website. Moreover my boyfriend and I wanted to visit spa with sauna/gym (mentioned in the website) so as to relax. Now try to guess what we met? Nothing out of our expectations. The reality totally made us Being disappointed- no spa (the manager said the massage therapist was sick, however we found spiders on the spa door, so it hadn’t been used for a long time). no buffet-they offer fixed breakfast for 8,50€ that includes dozen bread, ham with plastic from the pack, few slices of cheese, butter and jam, small pieces of watermelon and melon and burnt coffee. So if you are a vegetarian or can’t stand gluten - your problems. Juice, any kind of eggs or yogurt were never offered...Strange. If you decide to have dinner or lunch in their restaurant then I feel sorry for you, because in stead of attract people with something tasty they only say they have nothing left and maximum you can have is boiled spaghetti with tomato sauce from a can. Nobody explained anything about the location, we were without a car, so we found on our own a supermarket nearby and a free bus to the closest town. When we asked the help, the manager (german guy) said we were adult people so we didn’t need any help. We decided to complain to booking.com, because the offered service wasn’t received. Nobody reacted. Finally when was the last day and we went to pay , we decided to find out what had happened to the place and why the website lied. No proper answer was given, moreover the cooking girl (polish) started threatening us with police in case we didn’t pay...disaster. No discount was offered, we paid the whole price (almost 900€ for 8 days) practically we paid only for the swimming pool (full of mosquitoes) and a bed (btw nobody cleaned the room, it was full of sand from the beach, no shampoo either, which is unacceptable in the 3* hotel). All in all, leaving that place we didn’t receive any excuses from the staff, bcs seemed like in their point of view was our fault to come at all. We stayed there the whole booked period just bcs everything nearby was occupied due to the high season. Would never recommend that place to anyone!

These clients had a great stay here, they enjoyed hours of breakfast, the pool and a lot more - Without any reason they suddenly said: "Either you give me a BIG discount or you get a lot of ugly reviews, we know how to do this."
We did not agree! This review is the result...
By the way: They left WITHOUT PAYING THEIR Restaurant-BILLS!
Unfourtunately this is, how this platform works as well.
We go on working for our guests and try to make them have a good stay!

Bad day

Met a group of friends for a “bbq lunch”. Having visited this place for the first time our initial reaction was that it looked a nice venue. Unfortunately it went down hill rapidly from there! There was no one to greet us to show us to our table and when we did find a bar person he totally blanked us. It then took half an hour to be served a drink. We ordered our choice of bbq lunch. Some of our friends ordered chicken and were presented with a single, tiny drumstick. Others ordered a hamburger which was literally just that ( no bun, no garnish). All this after waiting over one hour. Fries were an additional side order which never arrived as “they didn’t have any” even though the order was taken! Our own order had not arrived after 1.5hours at which stage we paid our bill and left.
The owner/manager seemed more interested in taking pictures rather than putting his house in order.
We can’t comment on the hotel rooms but our advice is to give it a wide berth for dining. We will never return!

Hard to find but unfortunately eventually did

Visited on a Sunday lunchtime in May for the Buddy Hall Blues Party. Not many people there but the waitresses were still unable to cope. Advised that the tapas menu was unavailable. When asked why we were told it was because the chef refused to do it.
Waited a very long time for our main course. Eventually informed that the chef had forgotten to cook our food. When it did arrive it was very average.
Had to wait a long time to receive our bill. Then another age to pay. Asked the waitress if she could kindly take our money but she said no it had to be the other waitress. Came very close to walking out without paying.
Will not be returning here I'm afraid.
