Wonderful experience

Wonderful experience, Mr. Guillem is a great host who helped us with everything we needed, high-quality facilities, a quiet and cozy stay; without a doubt, we would repeat it, we wish the restaurant's opening would be reconsidered. Greetings from Calonge-Sant Antoni.

Magical place

A modernist house in the center of a discreet but lively village. The interior overflows with details and secret corners. Take your time to admire, ideal for reading in the library.
Very comfortable rooms. Ours had a mother-of-pearl bathtub. Hearty buffet breakfast taken on a beautiful terrace.
Super friendly staff, parking not too far from the hotel.
Very correct price quality relation taking into account the quality of the place.
The bell tower of the church can be heard but this is the charm of the countryside.

A little disappointed!

With the pictures I expected a rather fancy hotel.
I was disappointed
Could use a little refreshment.
Both at the pool and inside.
The room is functional but lacks amenities. No hair dryer or shelf in the shower. No coffee machine.
No elevator for luggage.
Everything is dark and old.The decoration is not the last chic.Full of kitch trinkets in every corner.
The bedding is good and the place is very quiet.
The staff is very friendly.

Medieval style country house in a small village

The hotel with 7 rooms looks a bit messier and older than the pictures suggest. The hotel has a beautiful 19th century style in which the ceramic elements in the garden fit very well, but very shamefully, that is sometimes triggered by something that does not fit at all, such as the Alice in Wonderland figures in the garden. According to Vesuvio, the hotel also has a restaurant but that has not been the case for several years.
The village contains old dilapidated buildings with a small center. We went for dinner at Bar La Plaça, but that is not really recommended, fine for chips with a fried egg or sandwiches. At Bar Leo an 8-minute walk from Casa Ceremines they have good lunch and dinner options and tasty cocktails. In Tortosa 20 minutes by car you have several good restaurants. And Café Nou restaurant in neighbouring Paűls is also recommended.
The area around Xerta is very beautiful, very green despite the wildfire that raged here a week and a half before our arrival in the Els Ports Natural Park mountain range
Sant Jordi beach is a 45-minute drive away and has a beach bar where you can have lunch and which has a very reasonable price and number of beach beds to rent.
If you want to immerse yourself in a small close-knit Catalan community, Xerta is the place to be. No Dutch to be seen here and the population speaks very limitedly across the border.
