Loge for a night

Hotel centrally located in the city of Yecla. A smaller and "simple" hotel, with clean and nice rooms. Breakfast was not included in the price we booked, so it certainly separates how to book. We are very pleased and it was nice and helpful staff. Recommended.

Horrible food

I ordered fried cheese for my wife and a chicken sandwich for me. The place was almost empty - the fried cheese appeared and the waitress brought 2 plates. My wife finished most of the cheese, but there was no sign of the chicken sandwich. I finally went to pay, and was told it would be another 5 minutes for the chicken sandwich. The waiter then brought out 2 chicken sandwiches! I told him we only wanted 1. I took a bite - it was disgusting, very strong vinegar taste - I couldn't even see any chicken, it has to be the worst sandwich I have ever had. I went to pay, they charged me for 2 plates of fried cheese! We will never visit there again, it was terrible.

Convenient location and traditional hotel

This hotel is in the centre of Yecla, in easy walking distance of the main sights, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The owners were friendly and helpful.
The rooms are traditional Spanish style - spacious, lots of dark wood furniture (bed, table and two chairs, wardrobe, TV on chest of drawers). They were clean and comfortable. I stayed here with two colleagues - two of us found the rooms to be cold, the other found hers to be hot, so it seems like the heating was a bit variable. The bathroom was also spacious and clean, with a shower over a bath, and a bidet.
The hotel is connected to a small bar, which was open from around 8am. There was not much information available about breakfast, but when we went to the bar on the first day, we were given milky coffee and a small toasted baguette, either with butter and jam or with traditional Spanish chopped tomatoes, for €2.50.

For a trip to Yecla, this is the place to stay

I booked this hotel sometime in advance for a visit by ourselves and two friends, to be able to explore the town of Yecla. If you wish to be able to explore the town on foot, there is no better place to stay. In fact, there is actually nowhere else to stay, if you want to be in central Yecla.
I was a little concerned by its one star status, but I have to say, in my opinion, it deserves more. Plain and simple it may be, but the room sizes are very generous with decent size bathrooms, unlike many more modern hotels. Everything looked well maintained and it was clean and comfortable. There is also the added advantage of garage parking underneath the hotel. The restaurant Aurora is also very good and covered in a separate review.
I would certainly not hesitate to stay here again.

just about

nothing much to write about this hotel>it is just a basic hotel where the rooms were big enough and clean the beds comfortable and a decent bathroom > only in the evening when they put the heater on it became so hot that is was really difficult to sleep but later in the night they put the heater off and the room became cold >biggest problem is the language as nobody was able to understand English so to communicate was difficult as not many people were staying there so no breakfast was there you had to order and here things became difficult so i just had coffee and a piece of bread
