Highly recommended homestay

From the first minute, you feel at home here. Lalith and his whole family really manage to make guests feel like part of their family. They drive you to Ella and, if you want, pick you up again.
Lalith's wife prepares an incredibly good breakfast and the soup was uniquely delicious.
There is nothing the family won't take care of if you ask them to.
We felt very comfortable and can recommend Ella Festoon without reservation.

Very kind family and very good food!

Warm welcome and very kind family. Our hosts were very nice people, always ready to help.
Rooms are nice and clean. The food served for breakfast and dinner was very good.
We really recommend this place.

Best!

Our best stay in Sri Lanka... a real family stay with 100% privacy. Best breakfast ever. Thank you so much to our hosts who really cared from the very first minute about everything, making everything with care and love. Real Sri Lanka!!!!

The family of “Ella Festoon” make you feel at home from the first minute you arrive: beautiful location just 10 minutes walk to the center, super clean and comfortable rooms with all the amenities you can imagine & the best breakfast you’ve ever tried! The service provided by the hosts is 10/10

amazing homestay - highly recommend

From the first moment we arrived to the moment we left, the host family took care of us as we were their own family members. Everything has been absolutely amazing, stunning views and beautiful breakfast (some of the best food we have ever eaten)!! The pancakes are the best pancakes in the world. The host family are genuine, caring, helpful and nice people. They offered to pick us up at the train station, and they showed us how to walk up from the house through their own tea plantation to walk downtown to Ella (about 10 min) and 9 arch bridge (about 15 min) on the rail racks. If we needed advice on the different hikes in the area - they did not hesitate to help us. We are happy we book this homestay because it was the highlight of our trip. We came as guests, and left as friends. I can highly recommend it to everyone.
