Comfortable stay, great value and service

I had a lovely stay at this place. Everything looks very new. The private room I stayed in was large with high ceilings so it felt like there was a lot of space. The air conditioner and fan worked very well, and the shower water was nice and hot. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I arrived very late from the airport, around midnight, and they were proactive in making sure I had the information and phone numbers I needed to check in late. They have great common areas with beanbags, balconies, and a book exchange desk. The street is very quiet, leafy and seems very safe.
The area is a bit far from the centre of the city, but it is easy to get tuktuks with the PickMe app and they are very cheap. It is also close to Wellawatte beach, which I recommend for dining, bars and the sunset is fantastic. I highly recommend this place.

Not so ok as it seems in pictures.

Easy access to High-Level road. Spacious room with bear minimum needs.
One square pin plug point in the room. Old style storage cupboard.
Parking space for three small cars just outside the property by the road (it’s quite safe).
No in-room tea coffee making facilities. Common kitchen is there if you want to make a cup of tea.
Credit card payments are NOT accepted.
Cleanliness 2 out of 5.
The room, bed linen are not clean. The bathroom hasn’t been fully cleaned for a while.
In summary, it is ok to spend the night over but make sure to bring your own bed linen and a towel.

Great accommodation in Colombo

Nice accommodation to explore Colombo or to spend the first or last days in Sri Lanka. Clean and nice rooms, helpful staff.
You can get to the airport in 40 minutes with Uber for around 10-12 US dollars.
