I wont consider this property as a star class one. My personal suggestion, this property is considered as a lodge. it is not worth for the money they charge.

Terrible Customer Service – Would Not Recommend

Had a horrible experience at Shalimar Hotel. The service staff are extremely unprofessional — they lack basic manners and courtesy when dealing with guests. The attitude is dismissive, and they show no interest in helping with even the simplest requests.
What stood out most was the behavior of the security/receptionist — an older man, likely in his late 50s, usually dressed in a white shirt and black pants. He was incredibly rude, lacked any sense of customer service, and spoke in a disrespectful tone. For someone who is the first point of contact at a hotel, his conduct was completely unacceptable.
Overall, the place is poorly managed with zero regard for guest experience. I do not recommend this hotel for any reason.

Okay

Okay to stay for one night if you want to be close to the railway station. But otherwise not a pleasant area. Very noisy road.
The room was clean but could use some paint.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was good.
Air conditioning was good.

Does not reflect what is advertised. Poor lighting. TV channels had to be paid to get activated. AC was a disaster. The sheets and mattresses not satisfactory. Definitely not a 3 star hotel. More like a travel lodge.

A very bad place.

The hotel is located in a noisy and unsafe area. The building is old, needs renovation, the rooms smell stale.
Initially, the staff seemed friendly and friendly. I arrived at night, and I was placed in an improved room, promised that the cost would remain as stated on Booking, and offered to cooperate directly, bypassing the platform.
However, the situation changed the following day. Another manager came in and said the room price was three times the price of Booking, citing "pad error." All previous arrangements were ignored, the smiley manager greeting me stood silent and you could see that he understood what was going on, but alas there was nothing he could do, I was cast in a negative light as if I was trying to avoid paying.
After paying the full room rate for 24 hours, I left. I don't know any reason why you should choose this hotel.
No food in the restaurant either.
It felt like I was the victim of an elaborate fraud scheme.
I felt cheated.
