Wonderful Anniversary Dinner
We had a wonderful experience at Waters Edge Restaurant celebrating our anniversaryat the restaurant . The food was delicious with a great variety and spread, and the overall atmosphere made our special day even more memorable.
The staff provided excellent service throughout the evening, and we would especially like to appreciate Maduranga for his kindness and attention to detail. He thoughtfully arranged a cake for us to celebrate our anniversary, which truly made the moment extra special.
Thank you to the entire team for the warm hospitality and for creating such a memorable experience for us. Highly recommended! ❤️

Faded Reputation and Serving Melting Leftovers for Top Dollar
We have been regular guests at Waters Edge for a long time and have always enjoyed their service and food quality.
However, our experience yesterday (27th June) during the second seating at Pranzo for the Saturday International Dinner Buffet was an absolute disgrace.
For the premium price charged, we were essentially served leftovers. The buffet stations were completely depleted, and there were absolutely no refills throughout our dining time (images attached).
To make matters worse, the service from the stewards was awful. Nobody bothered to clear our tables; we had to repeatedly ask for basic service. While they might have been exhausted from the first seating, paying guests shouldn't bear the brunt of an unmotivated, unpleasant staff.
The desserts were a joke - soggy, melting puddings and empty trays. How do you host an expensive international buffet and not even have basic ice cream or curd?
It felt like we paid to eat garbage. This was the worst dinner experience of our lives and we will never be returning. Total waste of money.

Service Disappointing
Attended a wedding at Waters Edge on 26 April 2026 and had a very disappointing experience. Banquet staff service was poor, and the dancing floor was poorly arranged with sheets. A nail injured the bride’s leg, which is a serious safety issue.
Only a supervisor checked briefly; the manager didn’t even come to speak to the family until we went to him. Despite the incident, they requested the balance payment before the wedding ended. When informed about leaving an honest review, the manager showed no concern and casually said it was fine.
Very unprofessional handling, especially considering it was a wedding and the bride was injured.
We expected a professional, safe, and respectful service from a reputed venue like Waters Edge. Instead, this event was marked by negligence, poor service, lack of empathy, and unprofessional management behavior—especially considering that the bride herself was injured.
I strongly urge the management to take this complaint seriously, investigate the incident, and improve safety and service standards to prevent such incidents in the future. I also expect a formal response addressing this matter.

Waters Edge is a scam!
Waters Edge hotel is a scam! The whole hotel management staff is incapable of doing their jobs. Very unprofessional and very untalented! They tried to ruin my wedding day making so many failures, so many miscommunications and unacceptable sudden changes. People should stay away from this hotel, doesn't matter which event.
I feel bad for the service team since they do a good job, but the management and sales team is ridiculous!
We have booked the venue 11 months prior to the wedding day and they waited too long and started making the whole thing a mess 2 weeks prior to the wedding day.
Mr. Thalagala and the staff is working so unprofessional so that you will lose your mind as a client!!!! I had to explain them on my wedding day, which tasks need to be done!
When you call them, they will just hang up. They will also hang up the phone while you are talking. Is this professional work?
When you talk to their team, they are just reacting "if the allocated person does not respond, it's not my problem it's your problem". Since I cannot attach any Screenshots I will write the whatsapp number they wrote me: +947xxxx5970 She told me im being rude, but how can someone not be rude in such situations? We paid you for your work!

Get some qualified, experienced people to your team and you cannot go forward with this team that you have right now!

Good time
I came for the high tea buffet with a friend of mine. We both enjoyed the food. There were plenty of mouth watering items. Superb service. The staff was friendly.specly thanks Mr,chalitha and Harsha
