Recommended

Place recommended. Clean and nice, the staff is very kind. The rooms are nice, there is a fridge in the room and the bathroom is nice. It doesn't take the wifi in the rooms very well, but on the other hand it's a rare fact throughout Sri Lanka!
The only flaw restaurant a bit expensive, but one can just eat out!

Terrible. Don't stay!

We arrived in the evening. No welcome drink. Room full of ants climbing up a wall. Staff prepared another room it had a strong sewage smell but it was dark and getting late so accepted the new room. Following morning found bed crawling with ants & other bugs. Evening meal was poor, not as advertised in their menu & 45 minutes late in arriving. Bar notice advertised cocktails so asked for a gin & tonic, they served some strange drinks that definitely was not a gin & tonic. Were hoping for a relaxing time around the pool but it had scum floating on the top, definitely not inviting. Manager refused to accept our disappointment with the property. Having traveled extensively in Sri Lanka this is the worst accomodation and service we have encountered. DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE!!

Irresponsible and unreliable

More than one month ago we booked this hotel for 3 nights and fully paid. Yesterday at check-in day when we were on the way to dambulla, Expedia send a message to me that hotel cancelled your reservation and can't accept you. What a shame. Unprofessional act. Irresponsible and unreliable and garbage hotel.

We arrived after a 3 hour drive from Colombo to find the hotel had emailed 30 minutes earlier to cancel our booking. I was told there was no water or electricity in the room due to an unforeseen maintenance issue. They did at least find us alternative accommodation. Still waiting on being refunded for the original booking

Good

This is my first time at this villa. I checked out all the rooms and chose room 101. I wasn't too impressed with that room, but I met a good room boy named Kavinda. His welcoming and conversational style made up for my dislike of that room. Thank you to the staff.
