Simple Eco stay in Ella forest.

Nice and simple Eco lodge stay. The entrance is hard to find, but the staff came and met us. Clean room and bathroom. Simple amenities (one charger; 2 lights). You pay cash only. Our room didnt have a fan. The view from the balcony is lovely. Wifi connection was also good most of the time. Close walk to the main street.

Lovely cabin in the forest but strange correspondence afterwards.

Our stay was lovely. It’s a small venue with only a few cabins but the view from our cabin was gorgeous. The entrance was a little hard to find as there’s just an archway with a sign over indicating the entrance (no driveway or parking). Staff were friendly and didn’t mind splitting our bed to a twin when we noticed it wasn’t made up correctly (could have been a communication problem from Booking.com).
Nice short walk into town, though it is on a hill so some might find it hard walking back uphill from town (plenty of tuk tuks around though if needed).
We bought the breakfast from the lodge which was lovely and filling. Coconut pancakes, fruit, and egg sandwiches. If you ray on the deck though, be mindful there are cheeky monkeys around.
Overall we really loved our stay here as it had a lovely view, was unique, and only a short distance to town.
After arriving home again though, a couple weeks later, my friend started receiving strange messages from a staff member asking us to secure employment for someone they knew who was coming to my friends home town soon. Given we provided our contact details for the purpose of our stay only, and barely spoke with the staff during our stay, we found this to be highly inappropriate and when saying this in response, they persisted and became somewhat forceful before we blocked them. A shame after such a great stay.

Do not trust them at all!

Do not trust them! Non fidatevi dell'apparenza.... immerso nella giungla ma senza strutture di protezione. La mia amica è caduta dalla passerella e dopo neanche aver ricevuto delle scuse hanno pure cancellato la prenotazione su booking dopo il check out penso per paura di ritorsioni o non saprei....
Oltre a questo la colazione è pessima e vendono le escursioni e le attività al doppio del loro valore.
Fortunatamente la mia amica sta bene e noi rimaniamo delle persone oneste e corrette, loro disonesti e scorretti e per fortuna il resto della mia esperienza in sri lanka è meraviglioso e non lascerò che la grettezza di questi individui sciupi la bellezza di questo paese. Ma non fidatevi di loro!

The lodge is about a ten minute walk to the downtown area. Close enough to walk and far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. I walked to the train station from the lodge, which is about 7-800 meters away. The lodge is situated on the upper portion of the mountain with beautiful views of lush mountainous greenery.
The staff were very accommodating and tried their best to ensure all of my needs were met.

Uncanny Ecological Rooms amidst the Nature

Exceptional Spacious Rooms Washrooms Balcony living space. Friendly staff to serve unreal Fruit breakfasts, tea & directions to Ella Rock lil Adam's Peak nine arches bridge etc.
We found the Nature surrounding us with amazing Crickets, frogs & fireflies screeching & lighting at dusk at random places outside. Later in the night all these creatures were making noises in perfect sync. The fireflies were lighting on & off in sync. It was a remarkable Scientific experience for us & loved it & overstayed. Highly Recommended !
