A very special place

Everything about this hotel is special! The location, the food and most outstanding was the staff. Our entire stay was relaxing and we were looked after to an exceptional standard. I would recommend anyone to stay here!

Beautiful boutique hotel

Overall an excellent stay. Beautiful location right on the beach. Well designed, modern rooms. We had a Bay View Pool Suite and it was quite large and the plunge pool was large.
We enjoyed the food, it was pretty good. Prices were reasonable. We especially enjoyed happy hour drinks watching the sunset. The hotel faces directly to the west.
Our only 2 observations and suggestions: Once you step onto the beach we were immediately approached by obnoxious taxi drivers selling tours and transfers. It’s a shame to ruin the peaceful vibe of the hotel but this is likely allowed by the government. Secondly, we were woken up several times at night by barking dogs from the nearby neighbors.
We chose to stay here prior to our departure from CMB to avoid a night in Colombo. The drive to the airport was only 2 hours and this worked well.
We would stay here again for a short stay.

A dream stay

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive and warm at all times – you immediately felt welcome.
The food was consistently excellent, especially the breakfast, which left nothing to be desired and was a real highlight for us.
Our room was always very clean, super cozy and lovingly decorated. Also the bathroom was sufficiently large and modern so that you could feel completely comfortable.
The pool area and the outdoor facilities were always clean and well maintained. High praise also goes to the hotel's own lifeguards, who were just as attentive and professional as the rest of the staff.
The beach was kept clean daily and added to this perfect holiday feeling.
Overall, it was a dream stay for us that we would repeat at any time. Absolutely recommend!

Very nice place and nice table

Small charming hotel with only a dozen rooms in a somewhat remote location
The decoration is quite minimalist but rather pleasant
The staff is very friendly and the food very good, feel free to ask the chefs what you want
Quiet room with very quiet air conditioning
Small spa with two super massagers
A beautiful place to rest and recharge

Lovely Ahu Bay

Wonderful little hotel in a dream location right by the sea. The whole staff is extremely friendly. A -Thank you goes especially to the management and Anjula Kasun, they were always there for all our concerns and very helpful. The food is just superb we enjoyed this great and creative Sri Lankan cuisine. The rooms/suites are lovely and happy with lovely sinkings.
The good bathing supervision on the beach also allows wave bathing without hesitation. The AhuBay and its team have still provided the crowning conclusion after a nice round trip.
