Beautiful hotel , fabulous hosts, sublime breakfasts
Hosts Glenda & Peter were so welcoming,keen to share their beautiful accomodation with guests. They offered a ' personalised holiday' , very knowledgeable & helped organise excursions etc.
The hotel was small & friendly. It was set in a well thought out garden / pool area . Only 10 min walk ( or tuk tuk ride ) from the beach & bars / restaurants.
Accomodation was bed & breakfast. The room was just perfect with a balcony overlooking the garden / pool.
Breakfast was sublime. An experience in itself .
Thirangama beach & surrounding area was a little area of paradise. Not overrun by tourists. Plenty to choose where to eat & drink . Very reasonably priced.
Will definitely return to this area of paradise

A Perfect tropical getaway!
Peter was an incredible host, from the moment we arrived we were greeted with kind warmth, no formal check-in fuss, just easy converstion. He is the heartbeat of Plantation House - full of stories and humour, always available to give advice on where to go, how to get there, best restaurants, cafes and best view points for sunsets. A host with great character, fun energy and deep local knowledge who made our stay exceptional.
If you're looking for a tropical escape with a personal touch, we can't recommend Plantation House enough. We'd love to return!

Fabulous!
Peter & Glenda have created an elegant & relaxing guesthouse where the thoughtfulness of the hosts adds to the experience.
From the comfortable rooms to the lovely people also working at PH with Peter & Glenda, this place has quality written all
over it.
Little touches such as the provision of water & milk made such a difference.
The legendary breakfasts live up to previous reviews and were delicious as well as being a talking point between all guests.
We don’t think we will ever have breakfast like this again.
This was the perfect place for us to stay in Hikkaduwa- we hope to return someday.

The best stay ever
The plantation house hotel has wonderful rooms and a really nice garden and pool
The food is amazing and is cooked every morning
