Wonderful affordable hotel room with lovely family running it attentive to every need in Haputale

We highly recommend this pleasant affordable hotel. It’s staffed by the family that owns it and they are amazing. They will bring you anything you want to eat or drink and the son runs a terrific taxi service. He can take you anywhere in Sri Lanka. Haputale is in a beautiful location with attractions close by and one of the closest towns to the amazing Horton plains national Park which is a world heritage site. Beautiful tea plantations

Genuine homestay with the most loving people

These guys are the best! Prepare to be treated as a part of the family, a special guest or their dearest neighbor. In this sweet newly wedded couple the husband cooks delicious meals while the wife does the talking for both of them. They can also organise nice and affordable trips with one of the brothers as a guide and driver in his comfortable van. The room we had was nice and light, and the view from their terrace is stunning. Although they offer everything at a reasonable price so don't try to bargain - in the end you will feel like you have won the highest price anyway. If (or when) we get back to Sri Lanka we will visit them again. Lots of love!

Great value for money and stunning views

Sharmila, Hasitha and Susantha were caring and helpfull hosts! The rooms although basic were clean and had just absolutely stunning views of the surrounding hills. Also town were easily accessible through the railroadtracks (about 1 km). The hotel had a washingmachine we could use for 500rupees. Breakfast was good!
The only real downside were the nightly barking dogs which disrupted our sleep.
Because the hotel was located on a ridge hikes were easily done in the surrounding hills.
All in all recommendable!
