Wake up to the sound of Beautiful Waves

The best room to choose is the Sea View Deluxe with A/C. Check in is pretty smooth and rooms are clean, you can enjoy a welcome drink upon arrival and they also do free pick ups from the Hikkaduwa Train/Bus Station. If you do need an airport transfer you can contact Hikkaduwanet.com for reliable airport transfers and other tour packages.
it is best to book a room with breakfast to enjoy the morning, you can also select between fresh fruits or an English breakfast i guess. If you bring food from out, you can store them in the fridge and then take out when you need. Washrooms are clean and have hot water and amenities.
The best part is that is is a beach front guest house so the view is great and the tranquil space away from the busy town is very calming and so is a great place to relax for a good price. it is only a 10 min walk from restaurants and pubs.
Luggage storage is also done and they also provide early check and late check out if possible.

Very nice location on the beach

Nice clean place right on the quiet part of the beach, yet 10 minutes walking distance from the restaurants and bars. Very attentive staff. We enjoyed staying here. Evening walks one the empty beach were the highlight! Definitely recommend

Wunderful bungallows

With a hidden, stylish shower outside and comfortable rooms in differents bungallows a very confortable atay. Continental breakfast and any time sandwiches are avalable. If you tell in advance having dinner, the cook prepares a tasty curry with different dishes. Service in the restaurant and cleaning staff were workung slow and not very motivated during our 6-day stay. It was very hot at that time.
We enjoyed our stay very much and recomens it for chill-out and kite-surfers, family meetings and honeymoon.

Bit outside - quiet and nice - direct on the beach - private beach

Wide sandy beach in front of the hotel. Not many people. Friendly helpfull staff. Little Hotel. New. Some part still under construction. However there is no work ongoing. So really quiet place. Maybe 3km from the Center of Hikkaduwa. Possible to walk along the beach to downtown Hikkaduwa. Restaurants are around.
Good value for the price paid.

Very Relaxing, Very Peaceful!

I stayed one night at Vacation Beach Guest House, however, I wish I could have stayed several nights. (I had to return to Colombo to extend my visa.) I had an awful experience at Tamaro Beach Resort (located very near Vacation Beach Guest House) prior to moving into Vacation Beach Guest House. I was very happy with my stay at Vacation Beach Guest House as the owner, Ajith Lokuge, was very honest with me unlike the owners at Tamaro Beach Resort. (see my review of Tamaro Beach Resort on Tripadvisor) The highlight of Vacation Beach Guest House is that it is located on a very quiet stretch of beach. You hear the waves and not the traffic. There are some restaurants nearby but the bulk of the restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk down the beach or a cheap tuk tuk ride from the hotel. The hotel is new, very clean, and everything works! The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and there are furnishings in the rooms. Also, the AC and hot water worked just fine. The owner and staff are very friendly. Ajith called a tuk tuk for me a couple of times and provided me with complimentary tea and biscuits although I did not order breakfast. I highly recommend a stay at Vacation Beach Guest House! Very relaxing, very enjoyable!
