fantastic experience at Clove Villa

We had a fantastic experience at Clove Villa, thanks to the outstanding hospitality of the team. Suranga was incredibly helpful and always made sure we were well looked after throughout our stay. The meals prepared by Chef Umesh were exceptional—the butter chicken was easily one of the best we've ever tasted, and the curry and rice were both plentiful and full of flavour. The rooms were charming and comfortable, although they could benefit from brighter lighting, particularly in the bathrooms.

Local culture in Kandy hideaway

We stayed at Clove Villas as part of our tour of Sri Lanka as our Kandy stop. It's nearby to temple of the tooth and the town centre. We only had 1 night hee but we were greeted by Umesh the chef who gave us a tour of the property. Also includes a private pool. Lovely lounge area indoors, plenty of outdoor seating top by the pool or on the balcony. They also have a pool table to pass the time. Umesh made us a Sri Lankan curry including his grandmothers special which we hadn't tried on our trip. It was delicious! Whilst we had dinner on the balcony we also got to watch the infamous fruit bats which was nothing like we've ever seen before. Suranga kindly served us at breakfast and dinner who was also super friendly. The place is well decorated with unique style. The rooms are very spacious as well as the bathrooms. Would definitely recommend for a stop in Kandy.

A beautiful, boutique hotel with warm hospitality

Our group of six friends had this beautiful boutique hotel to ourselves for an overnight stay in Kandy. The rooms are beautifully decorated. Chef Umesh cooked us an amazing dinner on the rooftop patio. We could not stop talking about it, especially his grandmothers aubergine recipe. Thankyou Umesh for your warm hospitality, we wished we could stay longer.
