Exalant and woderful place

Safeful cleanful and cheaper place... Great view...Tasteful foods...Maneger is verry hospitality and sensitive charactor... He is verry knowledgeable and helpful man...i st at 3 night in Kandy. I am enj so so happy...All round Briliant Superbly.. Green Wood is Wonderful and Exalant place....Pls stay one more night at Green Wood Guesthouse. My recommendation is Green wood is best place in Kandy...i wish you Green wood...Thanks For lot Green wood...Long way to go...

Hospitality at its best

Stayed at the place during a weekend. The place was very quiet and not that far from kandy city. The rooms were clean and the host Ananda was quite helpful. Recommend the place to anyone who is looking for a place to stay by kandy for a budgetary price.

Give it a miss

Good location but a very strange feel.
The host made me feel like he was a baby sitter, following me around, especially when I went to use the shared kitchen.
I was heating up some noodles and he almost pushed me aside to do it for me.
The toilet was smelly, the bathroom walls mouldy and the kitchen bin over flowing onto the floor when we arrived.
Breakfast was some toast and two fried eggs and some fruit.
And just in case the manager decided to pipe in... We were very good and quiet guests.

Hosts unwilling to accept guests.

We booked two rooms through booking.com and arrived at 3.30 pm. The place was deserted so we rang them and were told they were coming. We waited but nobody came so we stayed next door at an excellent alternative. We got a message through booking.com asking us if we were coming and an SMS saying as we did not come we would be charged the full amount. So far this has not happened. I suggest you book for here with caution as the place was deserted and unattended.

good value for money, bathroom cleanliness to improve, good breakfast

nicely located away from awful noise and traffic
quite nice host, a bit Strange or shy maybe, very discrete, not trying to push for extra services
very nice breakfast
rooms are simple but cean, beds are confortable
bathroom cleanliness could be improved but that was ok
towels quite old but clean
tables clothes for brakfast not super clean but acceptable
overal good value for money, i woould recommend to budget travellers
