Fantastic!

The hotel rooms are well maintained and perfectly suited for a family on a budget. The staff are incredibly friendly and always happy to help, which really made our stay more enjoyable. Their connection with a great tuk tuk tour operator (Fernando) was excellent and made getting around very easy.
The hotel is slightly out of town, but for us this was a bonus as it meant a quieter atmosphere. It’s only a short tuk tuk ride into the city centre, which made the overall experience much more relaxing and enjoyable.
The included breakfast was excellent, with a choice of traditional Sri Lankan or English options. We opted for a combination of both, which worked really well. The portions were very generous and everything was freshly prepared.
We felt the same about dinner, with a good range of options, generous portions, and the spice levels adjusted perfectly to suit our taste.

Colonial place

The hotel is situated a bit far from Kandy town, so you must have a driver or tuk tuk to get around. It’s built in colonial style. The rooms are clean, the bathroom is very basic. There were stains on towels, but sheets were clean. The walls need repainting. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and plenty full with different options. The pool, although small, was great for the kids.

Family Get-together

We had a family Get-together at the palace and stayed for 2 nights. Very calm and quiet with all the facilities and friendly service. Nice view of the hillside from the rooms. Small but nice pool also availnle. Nice & good place to visit.

Stayed for 1N, it was a great, calm country hill side location.
