Nice Homestay in beautiful landscape

We stayed two nichts there and had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The hotel is located near a Lake in the nature so you can walk around and enjoy being away from crowds. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and did everything to make us feel at home.
Also, the owner's wife cooked delicious sri lankan dinner and breakfast, which was one of the best currys we had during our stay!

Lake Bliss is Deceivingly posted a two room accommodation as a Hotel/Resort

Please be cautioned, this is NOT a place to be staying at all. It has NO amenities or comfort AT ALL to be call a hotel or holiday resort. It is just a two room under construction accommodation located in middle of jungle with only footpath leading to it. This place should not be booked by anyone, not even those with low budget. No safety, No amenities, No facilities of even a dinning room/place, No staff other than a caretaker who can open the room, if you can reach it, an outright fraud in the name of Hotel / Holiday resort. Because I was cheated into booking it through misleading advertising, I am cautioning my other fellow travellers not to repeat my mistake and learn the hard way, even if you look at the 15+ photos posted on the website, there is NO photo of the so called hotel / Resort. Photos of tourists taken at other places has been posted which have no meaning. It has only three photos taken very tactfully to deceive the unaware eye. So please stay away from this property and do not book or else you too would feel cheated and be writing a bitter experience review as I have done.

The property is in the lap of nature surrounded by fruiting plants and peacocks. It's an excellent getaway from the hustle of fast-paced city life. The best part was the host who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. As we arrived, he plucked fresh passion fruits from his garden and made juice for us. For lunch, he arranged delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan food. For dinner, we requested grilled chicken and he arranged that as well at reasonable price. He also arranged a safari driver who took us to Sigriya Lion rock via tuktuk and Elephant safari with Jeep.
