Tranquil garden homestay

Gorgeous family run homestay with a lovely garden and relaxing space. Breakfast was always delicious and very fresh. Rooms are simple but perfectly working AC and clean. We did elephant safari organised through homestay and couldn’t recommend more. Fantastic experience!

Exceptional stay and food next door to Sigiriya

The highlight of our holiday. Super welcoming and helpful hosts that cooked amazing typical food and organized our entire trip in Sigiriya. We went on a safari, had a sunrise hike, organized a visit to the historical sites, and they provided transportation from Colombo to Ella. Prabash, our driver, was an amazingly kind person that helped us not to miss any highlight and woke up early to bring us to the sunrise hike, not to mention all the km trough the country. The dinners were amazing, had such an authentic and tasty curry. Would definitely go there again and recommend it to friends and family.

Incredible hospitality, lovely people and fantastic food!

First of all the hosts of palitha homestay are incredibly kind and helpful. They practically planned and organised our two day stay in sigiriya, with safari, sunrise hike and delicious homecooked meals! Special shout out to the driver Prabash, who picked us up from Colombo, woke up early to drive us for our sunrise hike and was a private guide for most of our journey! Staying here was a real highlight of our trip!

Beautiful and exotic

This is the 1st accommodation of our 1st stay in Sri Lanka, with arrival the same evening we arrived in Colombo.
The scenery is at the rendezvous: at night you can hear the cats of birds and other insects from the huge garden that surrounds the house.
Upon waking up we are greeted by hearty and excellent breakfast, while a little monkey walks around the terrace.
The family that manages is very friendly, and welcoming.
The rooms are very clean with every comfort.
We highly recommend this address to travelers from Sigirya.

Stay to climb Sigiriya Rock

Arrive in the evening from Dambulla. Since we wanted to go up to Sigiriya Rock during the cooler hours of the morning, we saved our strength and had breakfast the next day before climbing. It takes 20 minutes to get to the ticket counter → then 10 minutes to get to the entrance gate. After climbing the top of Sigiriya Rock, you can return from the exit gate in about 20 minutes. I showered and changed before heading to Kandy. Are you one of Mr. palitha's children? My brother has been following me and it was a meaningful stay.
