„A real Paradise and Lion Kind adventure - don't miss this!“
Positiv:
We felt like Mowglis or Lion Kings - it's just the paradise! Direct view from the bed (!!!) and the balcony to the Sigiriya Rock. Nándena and Chándeni with their 2 kids are very lovely people, helpful, caring, funny but discrete. To the backside through the bathroom window you have a view to a rice field where sometimes elephants might appear (we didn't see them though). It is perfectly located, the Pidurangala Rock you can easily reach walking. Any tuktuk finds it easily and picks you up there too, or the owner calls you one. You can have breakfast or dinner at (almost) any time between 6am and 10pm, just ask them... It is a real tree house, a big room, a big bath room, a good big bed, comfort is modest but all is clean and it is absolutely worth the price. The value for the money is more than ok, just incredible, the very rich breakfast included in the price. We had a shower with a small, cute frog, were sleeping with a nice salamander on the wall (but under a moskito net), heard sometimes some animals walking on the roof, surrounded by an impressive symphony of jungle sounds (birds etc.), a lovely dog was waiting for us in front of the door in the morning. But no monkeys, thank god! Don't miss to have dinner there for only a few Euros, you can tell them some hours before, Chándeni is really an outstanding cook (thank you, it was just delicious!!!) and adopts to tourists (food is never too hot), she prepares an incredible breakfast, every day something else, specialities from Sri Lanka included. If you want, Nándena brings you Lion Beer in only a few minutes (he is fast on his motorbike). We stayed there 4 nights and would have loved to stay more...After two days we asked if we could get a small room service which they very kindly did, changed the linen etc., you just have to talk and ask and they would do anything for you. We can only recommend it. Payment is only cash which on booking.com isn't very clearly declared.
Negativ:
The coffee...but Sri Lanka is definitely not a coffee country... Otherwise: nothing, it was just a dream. Or just a small advise: If someone books more than 2 nights, a small room service (cleaning the bath room, new linen) should be offered after the second night. But we kindly asked for it and got it immediately.

5 Min walk to Pidurangala rock
I love this place as it is right near the base of Pidurangala rock and it is easy to do the early morning hike to the rock to photograph the sun rise. They offer rooms on BB basis and the breakfast spread was awesome. I loved it. there was so much food and a free mineral water bottle + tea or coffee added.
The best thing about this resort is that the owner is not money minded at all. It is run by a husband and wife duo. The restaurant is upstairs and if you order lunch or dinner, make sure you order a few hours in advance as they need time to prepare it. I booked an A/C room and it was big and clean. The towels were clean and the bathroom had hot water as well. Its fully worth for the price I paid. Sadly I stayed only one night.
Their garden has a lot of different birds in it so if you are a birder you will love it for sure.
The only drawback is that they don't have WiFi and there are no Dialog GSM phone signals in the area.

Great experience!
I went for 1 night and stayed 3. The tree house was an extraordinary experience and the host were so accomodating. I prefer to explore on my own so Nandana helped me get a reasonably priced scooter and cheered me on. The breakfast was better than good and enough for 3 people. Waking up to the sounds of the wildlife in the morning was magical.

Super Location !
Very Clean and Special place. The real Sri Lanka ! Host Nandana helped us with transport, Tuk tuk, safari special fruits and his Curry is one of the Best of Sri Lanka. The host parents have a shop nearby where his mother makes the hoppers. Real good contact. I will certainly go back. Grts Pieter

Exceptional host, great experience
The host here is the best I have come across. He is friendly, very helpful and honest. His hospitality is exceptional. The treehouse is great and quite back-to-nature which is part of its charm. You will see all sorts of wildlife if you look. The area is fantastic. You can walk to Pidurangala Rock in 5 minutes and Lion Rock in about 30 minutes. Breakfast was delicious and you can eat this on you balcony looking at Sigiriya (Lion) Rock. We had dinner our second night here also which was delicious and authentic Sri Lanka meal made by the hostess. Highly recommend staying an absolute minimum of 2 nights. We wish we stayed longer
