A must stay either at start or end of trip

What a way to spend our last night. Secluded surrounded by palm plantations. It was so relaxing and fantastic. A great pool and the staff and food were epic.. we will make it a stay next time too…. And only 45 mins from airport. Much nicer than a airport hotel

A relaxing gem away from the hustle and bustle.

This is my 6th visit to Comilla Bungalow and definitely not my last. The relaxing atmosphere in this historic building (although if you want “new” they have several rooms away from the Bungalow) is restorative. The staff are amazing and Indika who looked after me with genuine care is outstanding is such an asset to the property. The rooms have everything you could want and it has maintained it’s high standard from my first visit 10 years ago.
The western and Sri Lankan is delicious and the grounds around the bungalow are beautiful (loved the wild peacocks the roam the gardens)

Ease into Sri Lankan culture in comfort

A fabulous start to our Sri Lankan holiday. The plantation dates back to 1880 and the three beautiful bungalows reflect the heritage of that time. Huge rooms, enormous windows and beautiful wood blends into the plantation (with air con). The service and food is incredible - thank you Indika - home cooked fragrant deliciousness. Nothing too much trouble. We intended to sleep but took a little cycle ride to the village, enjoyed a cookery class and climbed to a hill top temple where we took tea with our new monk friends! What an experience. Straight into holiday mode! Thank you for a wonderful stay. Don’t start your holiday any other way!

Amazing

We stayed here when we arrived in Sri
Lanka and it was perfect . Beautiful and stylish. We weee looked after perfectly with fresh fruit brought to us and the most amazing meals cooked, wish we could stay longer

Peaceful & comfortable, excellent staff.

Very peaceful and comfortable bungalow in lovely surroundings. Good pool. Fresh tasty food. Excellent staff who made us feel at home. They were exceptionally helpful in organising a courier to send on a package we had left behind. Fantastic service, thank you.
