Lovely.

Lovely place with great rooms and a restaurant with good food and friendly waiters.
Breakfast is ok, but as we remember it was the hotel's service more accommodating previous years. We have visited the hotel at irregular intervals for the last 20-30 years and always had nice stays!

Unreliable

Had booked and paid overnight stay with dinner 7-8 June already 8 January but today 12 May the hotel calls and does not openly inform and cancel.
We were going to celebrate our 30th anniversary.

Classic! Great to enjoy old school style but still fresh, clean and friendly!

Incredibly good food and cool hotel

The dinners were simply a delight with piggvar, cod, crepes and curry with banana. Taste experiences in rows. And the rooms are an experience with great beds and old greatness combined with new comfort. Plus the opportunity to open the windows and fresh air at night. A bit hot in the meeting room, but nice there and. Good service. And a guided tour of the Carlsten fortress is recommended. The hotel also has a sauna where you can swim in the ocean. Order in good time if you also want a bath stamp.

It used to be better

I used to spend my summers on the west coast and therefore have a special relationship with Marstrand. For my birthday, I booked an overnight stay on August 23rd at your place and a dinner at Tenans which was very good.
the hotel experience did not meet our expectations.
It doesn't smell nice in the hotel, maybe the old carpets. Our room called little ballroom had a view of the garbage room, here you would probably have won on a frosted window or the like. The headboard was nailed to the wall with the nails far protruding. The bathroom joints were moldy and were partially covered with more sealant which did not exactly help.
One of the other guests had eaten seafood in the evening and put the plate outside the room. We saw and smelled this when we went to breakfast at 9am, at 11am the plate was still there.
Breakfast needs to be commented on in particular: it was Spanish-speaking staff who entertained themselves loudly in the kitchen. Their cell phone rang and it was so loud that it was heard throughout the dining room. One of the staff pulled a vacuum cleaner through the dining room while we ate and started vacuuming in a room next to the dining room. The scrambled eggs and bacon were served in a greasy and unappetizing container. The supply of bread was like that.
I would not recommend the hotel further at this time but hope for improvement in the future.
I also sent an email but I didn't get a reply unfortunately.
