Great Hostel, super friendly staff!

This is a great hostel in a former school. The owner is very friendly, and had some great suggestions what to see and do at the island. The hostel is well equiped, with a big kitchen, big garden and nice living area.
Our room wasn't really spacious but big enough for us.
The showers weren't that good though, barely any privacy and out dated. (or if you prefer, 'vintage school showers':-)). But that was the onely disadvantage of this hostel. With an update of the showers, I would definitely give 5 stars.

Very cozy

The rooms are all right but the common spaces are very nice. The staff is very friendly. Good Swedish breakfast! They have a sauna and hot tubs, and tree trampolines. A nice back yard too. There is a lot of things to do! I'd definitely come back!

Rooms average, but garden and common space great

We stayed here 5 nights because we rented a car and it seemed a good base location for the island.The room was very basic, but on the other hand, the common spaces, like the kitchen, the dinning room, the hall, and specially the garden were great. There are no rooms with bathroom, but there are some outside in the corridor. One of the main weak points. But on the other hand the owners were very gently and helped as much as they can. Great place to stay with kids, as they have a great and big garden with sheeps and other animals, jump mats, grennhouse, several outdoor games. It's expensive as all in Gotland. But great

very nice garden and staff!

We stayed here for one night and hanging around in the garden with the kids was a lot of fun. You can still notice the building is an old school, but there is a lot of love put into the place and all the rooms are unique. On the downside for us was the price and also that our room was just by the toilet and the rooms are not very sound proof so we heard a lot of noice until midnight from people using the toilet and walking in the corridors. The very pretty and old bed we had in out room was unfortunately not either very quiet. Otherwise it was a nice and cosy place to stay in for a night.

Great hostel in the heart of Gotland

We enjoyed very much staying at Hejdebo for three nights. The place has a great atmosphere, a beautiful and spacious garden were you wake up to the marvelous sound of bleating Gotland sheep. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast with homemade bread and marmalade before you start exploring the different corners of the island. Kerstin and Anders are great hosts. A tiny minus: The beds could be a bit more comfortable. But altogether highly recommended, great value for the price paid.
