Wonderful journey with unique experiences

We travelled with 2 teenagers aged 11 and 13. The trip was really beautiful. I had some fear of the low temperatures in Lapland beforehand, but this was certainly not necessary. We got the right warm clothes to use. The activities you can do in the lodge (husky sled ride, husky hike, snowmobile ride, ice fishing, workshop gem making, e-bike hire, visit reindeer) were one by one unique. The staff and guides were all very helpful and very friendly. The Swedish cottages are very comfortable and warm (just a little noisy), there is room enough for a stay with 4 people. The food in the lodge is basic and there is not so much choice, but good quality. An alternative is often provided in the evening for the children to eat. The lodge is very cozy and the surroundings around it are beautiful and very quiet. We would recommend this trip to anyone.

Lapland Dream- An Unforgettable Winter Adventure Swedish Lapland!

We just returned from an incredible week in Lapland (27 Dec – 3 Jan) with our family—two adults and two teenagers—and we can’t recommend it highly enough! We stayed in a cozy cabin and had daily activities organized from the lodge, which made everything effortless and incredibly fun.
Our days were packed with amazing experiences: snowmobiling, husky sledding, walking with huskies, icefishing, snowshoe hikes, and visits to a reindeer farm and a Sami village. Each activity was well-organized, and we always felt safe and cared for, even in the extreme -35°C! The free rental clothing provided was excellent and kept us warm throughout. And free use of skis, kicksleds, and snowshoes was a great bonus!
Celebrating New Year’s Eve here was magical: a luxurious three-course dinner, festive decorations, a fun bingo with prizes, and a torch-lit walk to a fire on the tundra at midnight, followed by fireworks and cava, crowned by Northern Lights. Truly unforgettable!
The staff were the highlight of our trip—young, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about making our stay special. From the guides to the lodge, bar staff, and managers (an international team), everyone was friendly, caring, and wonderful with guests, children, and ofcourse the dogs. Daily breakfast, lunch and diner was offered in shifts, and was of outstanding qualitive local cuisine, also for vegetarians or people with intolerancies.
We also loved the lodge itself: cozy lounge with a fireplace, souvenir shop, and booking office for optional excursions like cross-country skiing and gemstone crafting (highly recommended!). The optional group chat for Northern Lights alerts, photo sharing, and lost & found items was a thoughtful extra touch.
Activities were done in small, consistent groups of about 12 people, which made it easy to get to know other families. The atmosphere was cheerful and mostly Dutch and Belgian guests.
Overall, the week was seamless, exciting, and magical. Transfer to and from Kittalä Airport including take-away lunch/breakfast was excellent. Nordic/Explore the North did a fantastic job organizing everything. And a big thank you to Sandra & team!
If you’re looking for a winter adventure filled with fun, comfort, and unforgettable memories, this Lapland week is an absolute must!

Great experience. Beautiful cold weather and lots of northern lights. Employees who want to arrange everything for you at their very best.

Bucket list experience to repeat.

Fantastic surroundings. Despite the uncertainties with the extreme cold, the staff and guides were very busy making a program so that everything could continue.
Cabin was small but comfortable. The only downside in the whole trip was that the cleaning had dropped a bit here and there with quite a bit of dust and other dirt.
All activities were accompanied by an enthusiastic guide (except for cross country skiing, but that was the least fun activity of both the whole group and the guide).
Food will not be to everyone's taste. Breakfast is simple with bread and yogurt. Lunch is soup, salad and sandwiches. Dinner is different every day. Portions on the small side, but very good quality meat and vegetables.
