REST AND ADVENTURES

Undoubtedly this is an area to enjoy in nature, both summer and winter, and enjoy taking walks throughout that area by bicycle, snowmobiles, canoes, walks, saunas...., you have to rent a cabin and be enjoying with family and friends, several common areas and rental options for motorcycles, bicycles and canoes as well as excursions

2 bad nights at a campsite

First of all, it looked nothing like the pictures. We got a pig little cottage instead. When we got there it was piss cold inside the cottage. We had to ask for an extra radiator and when we turned it on the power went out. There are also fees on everything and a hell of a lot of rules. You can't even shit alone without whining. Then today when we were cooking breakfast the power had gone out, AGAIN. No power in the communal kitchen or in the toilet/shower. There was no hot shower o no hot food. I had to eat my Thai cube through frozen.
We were also told when we came here that the sauna would be a hell of an “experience”. They charge for the wood for the sauna and the sauna is so damn big that you will need 8 bags of wood (100kr bag) to get up any heat. All this happened in 2 nights.

Nice Experience

Group of 10 adult family members booked 2 small cabins and 1 single cabin for 4 nights. Cabins were booked a month in advance
Clean cabins, near lake. Facilities were OK
Overall a nice experience
Price was good, we paid 58.00 Cdn dollars per night per person.
Especially since you had the option of using the cookout hut and the sauna for free. That was an awesome perk
If I were to book again, would request cabins with restroom
One small cabin had two single beds in one end of cabin and a bunk bed in other end. Bunk bed room was a little tight for two adults. Had a restroom
The other cabin had a queen bed and then there was a single bed in the living room with a fold out couch bed that could hold two. No restroom
Single cabin was OK, but did not have a restroom
We bought our linens and price for linens was inline with other places we stayed
Cabins need screening on windows for mosquitoes
There was one clothes washing machine and no electric dryer. There was a clothes rack for air drying. Expect line ups at washing machine
Book a sauna in advance for your group. There is also a public sauna (floating). Wood for sauna can be purchased at site. Lake water is exceptionally cold after sauna, thou it was August. Do not jump in, very big rocky bottom and not that deep

A very nice campsite

A great campsite. The staff was very friendly. Location perfect.
The service building was very generous.
There was sauna and close to hiking trails.
We were supposed to stay one night, but it was three.

Tired campsite

Old and worn sanitary building, toilets that leak, common kitchen is very small.
Playground is ok, little.
Check people in at 00.15, at night next to us, bored with noise so late.
Nice to swim, a pity that there is no more made up with benches and the like at the playground.
