When I booked this hotel, back in March, there was no mention of parking charges. When we arrived we were told we had to pay for the parking. This really annoys me, as I have already paid for the accommodation, I will pay for drinks and dinner. I am pretty sure, they can make enough of a profit from that, without charging for parking. If I had realised, I would have cancelled as there were at least 3 other hotels, within a few miles radius. Which were of equivalent or better ratings. Two were cheaper and they did not charge for parking. I will certainly be more careful in future if I ever think about booking a Best Western.
The chair in front of the mirror was very wobbly. The curtains, for me, I could not close nor open them. My husband had to do that. The general maintenance needed some attention. Not a great stay, though I will say the dining room staff were fantastic.

Nice spacious family room with a great locatin for driving into the city. Only downside were the breakfast, far to crowded, no dishes,no place to sit, lot of dirty tables.

Was approached twice from fake whatsapp accounts who wanted me to secure my stay. Chain has had a huge security breach but do not tell guests.
Collegue to me was asked to pay room again even though she paid at booking. Wasn't refunded before she showed proof.
I found something looking like a turd under my bed. Staff reacted promptly though and changed my room.
Convenient to the arena, but obviously not a place to stay again.

Good hotel, well appointed, friendly staff, and excellent Breakfast. BUT I had booked 2 nights, was disappointed that when asked on check in if I wanted the room cleaned after the first night I replied yes - but returned to the hotel late to find no cleaning of the room had taken place.
Firstly, why does the hotel suggest no cleaning service after the first night - there was no offer of reduced rates to support this.
Secondly, having asked me and been told I wanted the room cleaned to then not do it is disrespectful and/or poor service. I did report this to reception who said ‘I will point that out to the staff, I had flagged it to be done’
