Vacation

+ nice staff
+ very very good breakfast. Perfect bacon and lots to choose from. Great coffee.
+ good beds (hard, which I prefer)
+ nice room (small TV) and good pressure in the shower
- no AC
- a fridge that didn't keep the cold so it can be removed to make more space on the desk.

Disappointed guest

Where the hotel's 3 stars come from I do not understand. Very fresh room with dust hanging down from walls and ceilings. Unfresh scent in the room that does not disappear even though the window opens. Black mold and unfresh shower curtain. Dusty toilet door. Several holes with screws in from previous furnishings. The bed was supposed to be a double bed but think it was 140cm and in addition it creaked as soon as you changed position so there was no sleep.
At breakfast the buns were ok. The coasters did not keep the cold where the spread lay. The yoghurt was lukewarm.
Me and my husband really tried to find positive things to lift our own experience but unfortunately, we didn't succeed.

Worse hotel I've been to

Worst hotel I've been to. The breakfast hostess picked out dry old rolls. Asked whose bacon waffle batter etc. was as it said on the sign. She scoffs at me and says there won't be anything like that because it's just us

Det mest bedrövliga vi upplevt.

Den mest missvisande marknadsföringen någonsin. Eftersom vi åker med Risskov paket 10-12 ggr per år och i stort sett alltid varit nöjda så valde vi Lyxpaketet (2630:-) två övernattningar på hotell City i Motala. I lyxpaketet skall ingå 2x2 rätters meny när vi kommer till hotellet så säger receptionen på vår fråga vad som serveras till kvällen "Rotmos o Fläsklägg till efterrätt kladdkaka o grädde". Vilken LYXMIDDAG, vi ville då beställa mat från á la carte som fanns på hotellets hemsida MEN då finns inget kök på hotellet utan man måste förbeställa och sedan springer en kypare till en annan restaurang och hämtar maten. Vi kom fram till att Restaurang Balkan i Motala hade rotmos och fläsklägg till lunch samma dag för 105:- så det skulle vara våran lyxmiddag den 18/10. Vi frågade vad som skulle serveras till middag den 19/10 Jo! Köttgryta med ris samma som Balkan hade till lunch för 105:-. HUR TÄNKER DEN SOM ANSVARAR. Detta är ju att fullständigt lura kunden!!

OK för 1 natts övernattning.

Centralt beläget intill restauranger och butiker. Rummet var relativt litet. Det fanns en skrivbordsskiva med tillhörande stol samt en hopfällbar stol som hängde på väggen. Badrummet var så minimalt som det var möjligt. Det var tyst på rummet. Frukosten var ok. Hela hotellet har ett maritimt tema vilket är trevligt, dock lite slitet. Parkering på gatorna runikring. Största fördelen med hotellet är att inträde ingår till motormuseet. Ett besök rekommenderas, bilar, radio, tv och det mesta du kan tänka dig i nostalgiväg.
