Small and cozy campsite, clean and nice

Small, quiet, fresh and cared for campsite.
Clean service building with family shower, even a tiled bath tub for the little ones. The only minus was that the dog shower was out of order.
There is a serving that was ok.

Bad and cancelled

Came to this place and it was not welcoming. Nabours were unkind and we quickly cancelled the stay. Old and dirty camping with caravans standing close to eachother. Do not trust the pictures in First Camp!!

Plus and minus

Nice staff and fresh toilet. Unsafe at bath rush pots - bigger children who gape, intrude and are unpleasant (should be possible to fix with more present staff).

Yeah, where do you start. Poor, poorly managed camping that feels like a clean unsafe place for children because of the kind of people who are there. Alcoholics, troublemakers and mouths. Worst of all, however, was the cottage which was absolutely disgusting. Thick layers of dust, the stove knobs were yellow and sticky, dried urine on the toilet crockery, leftovers in the fridge and in the inside cupboard. Had to ask for cleaning and even after that it was so disgusting. Reception staff also acknowledged that cleaning staff have so much to do they don't have time to clean properly. The door into the bedroom was broken and could not be closed, the oven was completely kaput and we were directed to use the service building. The porch was to be supported by two concrete pillars but on one side the pillar was almost completely outside (?!) the decking so the floor had no support, so we did not want to let our children stay on the porch. The staff has been accommodating and helpful but it is also the only thing that has been ok with this campsite. Don't come here!

My stay, overall, was excellent. I had a bit of trouble getting connected to the right person who would let me in the building, but once I met her, she was extremely gracious and helpful-even with deciphering a matter connected to my mobile phone.
Check-out was fairly straightforward, though there was no mention of where to take the sheets and towels. I spotted the bin downstairs, and so will know for next time. Also, there is no way to safely place the room key, when Reception is closed. There is a key box, but it requires a code, which I did not have. I was able to leave the key with a housekeeper.
