A great stay.

Enjoyed our stay at rival hotel we would certainly come back if we ever find ourselves in Stockholm we went and enjoyed the sites to see the Viking museum, the ABBA museum, and some of the other sites. Great job people you are the best.

Lovely hotel in the middle of Söder

We had a one night stay in this lovely hotel! Delicious dinner in the cosy restaurant and in the morning fantastic breakfast! I loved the smashed avocado sandwich.

What makes me see one hotel as superior to another begins with how you are treated at the very start.
This is one of those hotels. Those behind the reception desk actually answer your questions, offer solutions to your needs and made me feel they sincerely wanted to (and did) help. The entire staff, throughout my 3 day stay, maintained that same level of care. They advised on which taxis were 'honorable'; booked tours; even offerred to take me on a tour when a guide wasn't available. It was just unlike any hotel I have ever stayed. Oh, they have coffee at all hours - even for those unfortuate travelers who have early moring flights. Their Tavern Restaurant is fun for lunch and dinner and thier breakfast is impressive.
It a great hotel on a colorful street where the locals come and sit at the park across the street. You'll be hard pressed to find such a wonderful place when you visit Stockholm!

Great location and friendly staff

Great location amongst the latte papas and away from tourist crowds. Well connected by metro and a good area to walk around. The square in front of the hotel is lovely with trees, fountain and beautiful planting.
Staff friendly, food tasty, room comfortable and quiet.
Highly recommend.

Great hotel, fab location.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Rival. The staff were very welcoming on arrival and helped with our luggage. Our room was lovely, and because we were there as part of my partner's 60th birthday celebration, we had some welcome chocolates which was thoughtful. The coffee station with cookies on the fourth floor is a nice touch, and we used it every day!
The breakfast was great. The only slight criticism would be that your plates by the hot food were very cold - a warm plate rack would have kept our food warm whilst we ate.
The location is superb, with the small but beautifully formed park just outside the front door - a lovely place to sit and enjoy an evening beer in the Rival's outside seats, watching the games of petanque/boulles. Being so close to the Mariatorget tram station was great too - and the hotel provided us with a couple of SL travel passes, which we charged for 72 hours of our stay. The tube is a great way to get around, and we used it lots of times.
It was a great location for restaurants too - we ate Greek, Italian and Austrian within a five minute walk, and we also ate in the Rival Taverna on our first night, which was very handy, as it had been a long day.
We had an early flight, and the hotel arranged a taxi for 4am, and gave us a sandwich and drink for the journey, which was a nice touch.
All in all, a fantastic stay, and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending both hotel and location.
