The hotel staff were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. However, several aspects of our stay fell significantly below the standard we would expect from Scandic.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the rooms was not acceptable. The mattress in our original room was visibly dirty, with stains and crumbs on it. Although we were offered an upgraded room, which we appreciated, the cleanliness of this room was also below what should reasonably be expected from a Scandic hotel. This was particularly disappointing and had a negative impact on our overall impression of the stay.
The breakfast was another area that needs improvement. The selection was quite limited, and the breakfast area appeared too small for the number of guests. On several occasions, there were 10–15 people queuing for coffee at a single coffee machine. This created unnecessary congestion and long waiting times. The breakfast area should be expanded, and additional coffee machines should be provided to accommodate the number of guests.
