Hotel Knaust is worth a visit

What a lovely and historic hotel!
The staff were very hospitable. Close to everything in Sundsvall. If you want to get to the adventure golf you can borrow a bike for free at the hotel. Visit the nice lounge before dinner for a glass of bubbly or similar.

Knaust is a gorgeous historic hotel that has so much potential. I’m from the city and been staying here the past two times/years when visiting my home town. But there is room for improvement that would elevate the experience.
No major warmth and attention to details and the hotel feels left in the past with very little upkeep. The tv is very small and has 4-5 local channels. When asking for Netflix login ability, they said I have to bring my own box? And the rooms tub had hair either left from old guests or cleaning crew, and they did not care to accommodate me after alerting them kindly, that I was unable to use this great large tub. The area before the gym smelled awful. So in short, with some love and care, this would be a super hotel. The breakfast is lovely and the staff is friendly. Very little is needed to make this a much better experience. I hope they will, because this is again, a very beautiful hotel in a great location and should be the pride of this city.

Great hotel right in the center.

Great hotel with good atmosphere in a great building, nice rooms. There was no air conditioning but we had a porch that could be set up to get some air. It was quiet and good. Good breakfast and dinner. Parking outside or in the garage at a short distance to the hotel and it was walking distance to everything, located in the middle of the center.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were quite big and nicely appointed. Located in I guess the old town section of Sundsvall. We did have to pay for parking nearby but it was a short walk. Short walk to parts of old town. Staff were very friendly and english speaking.

Beautiful and classic interior

Actually, the stay was just barely worth a four. This is because the hotel seemed to be short of staff. You had to wait at check-in and at the bar (the latter was explained by a door jamming). So although the staff was nice and service oriented, the level of service that stay was only at a maximum of 3. The room, a suite, does not come up to 5 due to technical shortcomings one would not expect in a suite. AC out of order and far to electrical outlets from one of the beds. However, the suite was nicely decorated under the rooftops, some furniture had a flaw but the price for the suite was on par with it. So lovely environment, Breakfast very good. And what is the highest level of 5 is the beautiful setting - everything from the classic staircase to the other old furnishings, this still makes it to the overall rating must be a four (and a five if the service had been more reasonable).
