Great place for wedding party
We celebrated weddings here. Great place to gather a large number of guests for party and wedding from Friday to Sunday. Great surroundings and premises, lovely food and nice service

Don’t be fooled by their photos
A real disappointment. Paid well for superior room and got a totally miserable toroms in a decaying building.The photos on the website showed something completely different from what we got. Worn furniture, total lack of charm, sad stuff. Don’t be fooled by the delicate photos on their website. Cancelled dinner there since we didn't want them to earn even more on us. Have traveled a lot, this was bad.

Are you a second-rate person when you have a dog with you?
The hotel looks beautiful. Too bad that when you travel with a dog you are housed in an old and dilapidated building. But at the full rate of the beautiful hotel of course. There was a small fridge, which made so much noise that it looked like an aggregate was running. A paint job was at least twenty years ago and the headboard of the bed stuck. The carpeting was dirty and you could barely see through the windows. The only chair sagged enormously and you could hardly get out of it. What a rundown mess. Upon check-in I was told that I could have breakfast with the dog in the lounge, in the restaurant this was not allowed.In the morning I was told that the dog was not welcome in the whole hotel. The site states that dogs are allowed and additional fees were also charged. After some insistence I was allowed to have breakfast in the lounge. Strange if this isn't allowed. What a crappy experience.

Great restaurant, terrible suite
We stayed at Ronnum Manor for two nights in May 2026, in a suite located in a separate building next to the main house. We had booked a golf package, which included accommodation, meals, and green fees. Despite encountering some lack of friendliness during the booking process, we were looking forward to our stay, as we have had good experiences there in the past.
To start with the positive: the food at Ronnum is excellent. Both dinners were exquisite, and the breakfast selection is good. The staff in the restaurant were also very pleasant.
However, the suite was another matter. While it was spacious and the bed was very comfortable, we have rarely stayed in such a dark and gloomy room, filled with dusty old furniture. There was ingrained dirt in the corners, and the wardrobe was so unpleasant that we did not want to hang our clothes in it. The bathroom was particularly bad, with visible dirt in several places.
We reported this to the receptionist, who came to the room, inspected the conditions, and apologized. Unfortunately, there were no other suites available that weekend. A large spider — named Hugo (yes, they were familiar with him and had even given him a name!) — was living in the shower, and we helped him outside one day. The next day, he (or one of his colleagues) was back. Not the place for anyone with arachnophobia!
The stay ended with us being charged an additional 1,400 NOK on the bill — this was for dinner, which was already included in the golf package, meaning we would have paid twice had we not noticed at the time of payment. No apology was given for this. To top it all off, we had to charge the card once more and pay an extra 20 NOK, as the two glasses of white wine we had the previous evening cost 10 NOK more each than what was stated on the menu. Not exactly generous.
No, Ronnum — your suites need a complete renovation, and you need to get your billing in order. This was simply not acceptable.
